    Hi,
So I just recently heard about the beta for the new version of Android. But I'm also aware that it's coming out officially mid to late August (maybe a bit later to Op6?)

So my question is that should I wait for the official release or should I just download the beta, since it's still going to be a while before it comes out.
    Thanks,

So they changed the release date? And if it's coming later then why shouldn't I get the beta?

Also 1 more question, if I get the beta now, do I have to download the "official" version when it comes out? And how difficult would it be?
    (hope you understood)

It depends on whether you want to deal with issues or not - and although it is mostly stable there are issues. The question is:
    a) is there a feature in P that you desperately need, or just want something different.
    b) whether you 100% depend on your phone and could potentially deal with things going wrong that could involve you having to wipe/re-flash your phone or not.

Thanks, I'm aware that there might be some issues of course but as long as there isn't anything THAT major then I'm fine with the issues.

The thing is, though, you have to ask if you rely on your phone daily. If so, then you definitely shouldn't flash beta software. Besides, in all honesty, Android P doesn't bring a huge amount of changes.
