most of your problems are related to software. There might be a bug. You should have waited till further update.

Did you even try a factory reset? Did you update to the latest software? Or did you just loose your mind and decide the phone is broken? Mine works great!

I noticed a weird thing on my OnePlus 8T.
Turn on the dark mode and go to settings panel and then scroll the settings page very slowly. Do you notice a bluish tint on grey cards of settings page.
I have noticed this issue on my 8T

Hello! I'll give you the answer you search for.

Yes, it is like that on all Amoled Screens if it is completely black with low brightness (and that is what we want right?).

The reason for what is called "ghosting" is because when black pixels are shown it means that the pixel is acutally completely turned off.

If the pixel is turned off it will need a fraction of a second to turn on again and when turning on it has to adjust both the requested brightness and color according to what is asked by the GPU.

And that is why you see what you call "blueish" pixels around the cards, but is more accurately called Amoled Panel Ghosting.

This isnt a problem in movies or such because the pixels can be prepared for whats next since the human factor is not to be considered in case of video playback.

Some manufacturers have solved this by not showing absolute blacks in the menues where the human factor decides when to scroll (manipulate the pixels).

Samsung is one example, in menues they show a dark, dark grey color instead so that the pixels is already turned on, thus eliminating amoled ghosting. BUT this truly defeats the key purpose of a Dark Mode on an amoled panel.

The reason it the defeats the purpose is because; The two greatest benefits of an Amoled panel is; 1. deep blacks and 2. Black pixels are pixels that is not using any battery.

So please take this in consideration and use another theme on the phones so that OnePlus dont feel pushed to the same as samsung and defeat the true purpose of a true black dark mode.

I can write a 50page essay about this but we'll leave it here.

    Hope this answered the question.

I haven't had any problems with the 8T and think it is an awesome phone. I upgraded from a OnePlus 5 to the 8T. The only thing that could improve the 8T is to have a notification light that flashes whenever you have a notification.

Go to customization and enable horizontal light. Or just install a 3rd party app however that would disable the preexisting AOD features
