You live in the Netherlands XD

The price of the phone is already higher than in the UK...
Think this is the same problem with Canada

Manitoba was $58. I think Alberta was $31, most provinces though are in the high $50's. That includes duty/taxes and fees from DHL.

Wow I think the phone is pretty pricey considering it was suppose to b $349us but with shipping and duty and the cdn conversion I'm from toronto so im assuming the fee would be around the same

It's not OPO's fault that there are taxes in Canada. It's the same thing on a PEPSI/COKE, or a bag of chips. The $60 is made up of a $15 handling fee for DHL and $45 in taxes. I don't think you can blame the phone or call the phone expensive because of taxes that are applied to all purchases. Try adding 13% to a 64GB Unlocked iPhone 6 -- $1000+ that's a pretty pricey phone.

You can't blame or judge OPO because of taxes that apply to everything or your countries terrible exchange rate/strength compared to the USD.

The same exchange and taxes are built into any comparable device you would buy. iPhone, Galaxy, HTC. All are pretty pricey when you consider the taxes, but OPO isn't getting that money, it's going to the government.

It's the same with new video games in Canada, which used to be $59.99 (on par with USD), but now are $69.99 to account for Canada's weak dollar.

The exchange rate/taxes will affect everything you buy from a bag of chips to a home, to a car. :) There's only two things you can be sure of in life: death and taxes.

Everyone has to pay Import Duty in most (all?) countries, in Europe the duty is already in the price of the phone and because you're in a non-launch country you'll have to pay it. There's plenty of threads on the forums with people commenting (and complaining) about the fact that duty is payable.
