strange that you just see ppl claiming that have battery issues, but me and many others dont have battery issues, so how is that posible?
Is like the battery draining deppends more on the ppl and their apps that on their devices brand and models! Damn conspiracy!!!

I'm getting a sense of deja vu here, I'm sure you made the same generalisation earlier in the thread.
    I checked and you did.
There have been several gamers testing the 6's and showing they run the hottest amongst the leading brands. 52° I believe someone reported in the labs and we all know heat means drain.
But hey I thought searching for cell reception used battery.
    Scanning for wifi uses battery.
    Constant Bluetooth pairing uses battery
There are plenty of people who dont game that still have a battery drain issue and they have the drain overnight.:D
    43% being the highest I've read.

The devices ram capacity will make no odd as far as thermals are concerned and the fact that the OP needs 8 GB to do what others are doing with 6Gb kinda backs that up.

I have a smartwatch connected via Bluetooth and wifi turned on all the time and I don't have any battery drain. But I also don't play pubg and don't use Facebook.
Battery drain is cauced by the use that you give to your phone, if you have tons of (shitty) apps running in the background is not a problem with the device.
    This is just common sense
My last screenshot about battery in my 6t shows 5hrs and 30 min of SOT, 34 hrs since the last charge and 28% of remaining charge.
When ppl realize that installing apps just for the sake of doing it it would affect the behavior of the system, they will understand the reason. In this cases I envy Samsung, since they provide many optimized apps that don't run process in the background that do suspicious things.

    Well as there are:
    Bluetooth dropouts again
    Cell reception issues again
    Wifi dropout again
All this extra scanning to reconnect will effect battery life yes.
For a mod of the forum you dont seem very smart, you again make a generalisations try to imply people dont know how to manage their devices.
Read what the op said earlier

No mention of installing loads of apps here, just an update.:p

Pubg doesn't create a battery drain it uses the battery, so i guess some spectre must be playing a game or too whilst people are sleeping.
You mentioned common sense, this is something you obviously don't have when the 6's, 5's, 3's ( all updated around the same time) are all having issues, more so than usual after their latest updates.
Something is busted, that much common sense should tell you.:p
Just because you are not affected by the issue, does it mean that the issue doesn't exist or that people have installed unnecessary apps.
Facebook use to cause a drain in OOS in a big way but I never saw my good lady have any issue on her LG.;)

I dont remember saying the OPO was on OOS, (though OOS did become available for it and what a catastrophe that's was.;) But I do remember saying it too suffered from battery drain.

So was Cyanongen 11S bad? Thats a tuff one.
From my personal experience, it was pretty much and it was gone the moment a usable custom rom arrived. Too many bugs and battery drain and a fair few of the issue I had were resolved by flashing Color OS.
Having said that, it was said that OP didnt give them any devices to test with and elements of the kernel was not available to them.

The OPO that brings back memories, I liked that phone and owned it with pride. But it was still the most unreliable phone I have ever had, too many issues.

I don't have any of those problems, so.... Who is doing generalizations?
At least I have the device (infact more than one) and I speak by myself, you don't have any oneplus device and you speak for what you (chose) to read. I know that you are not dumb, and you play a game on this forums, but spending your time here just to bash a brand based on selected post of other ppl is not smart either. A lot of us are here time enough to know who your are.

And I'm sure that some ppl don't know how to manage their phones.

Thats OP for you, always looking for free fame.

Once they post it on the forum they have laid a claim to it.

Budget Flagship has become premium, without premium specs or status.

Nobody asked you if you had a problem. But you are implying that peoples issues are being caused by them installing lots of apps, when they have said it has happened since their last update.

That is a NO,NO naughty moderator.

    cowboy-shaking-head-no.gif

OP have an illustrious history of battery drain, I had it on the OPO and I run as light as possible. On a stock rom including selected gapps you wont find more than 35 on my device, even now on my bloated Note 8 there are 39 and my bloated MI8 35.
So that would leave the OS and that has never really been robust has it.

I was referring to the this line:

    upload_2019-2-11_11-3-52.png

And yes OOS on OPO was a no go. Although it was the initial phases of OOS back then and it was born out of necessity with what occurred with Cyanogen. I have to say that with LOS running Oreo my OPO had very good battery life for an older phone. Although earlier OS versions did seem to drain it a lot and I'd have to recharge at least once a day if not two or more. With Oreo maybe once if I used it a lot that day.
