I am disappointed with Oneplus statement in which they said they can not enable 5G bands in Indian variant (only N78 is enabled) in our Oneplus 8T.

I was not expecting this from such a reputed brand.

They didn't put them in to enable them.

However the point you're making about the phone being sold as 5G, and not really having the wide coverage you may have been expecting has been mentioned before.

There is a general thread on this topic. I'll drop a link when I find it.

Whatever it is... But they are selling phones with only one band... At price ₹46,000/- (I bought this device at this rate). They are literally cheating with us... I will not recommend Oneplus to any of my friends and family.

How is that cheating when it was in the spec sheet that there is only one band?

I am disappointed with you in which you did not read the specs sheet properly.

First... They said they will enable 5G bands (not officially but unofficially). And after 4-5 months they released official statement in which they said they can't because they have not installed different 5G bands antennas...

This is how they have cheated.

This is happening in India bro... We had read the specs... But they spread wrong info about enabling 5G bands after Indian 5G launch... Then they u turned from their stand...

Bands are hardware thing, not software. Also you're fooled by some tech publication site.

You guys must be companies paid employees...

It is my fault that I tried to convey my point to the company...any ways...

If I can buy Oneplus then I can also buy Best phone for me...

And I will personally ask people not to buy any Oneplus devices...

Unless you can quote an official source, does it really make sense in believing useless "tech" sites which doesn't know a phone from a toaster? And don't go around quoting the support statement which was withdrawn, as that was specifically for th 9 series (unless you're just in the mood to rant). Further, does your country already have 5G? (Judging by the fact that you're quoting ₹ as the currency, it will be atleast a year before it starts rolling out, that too for very specific regions).

Even if we don't have 5G why do I need to get cheated in the name of 5G??

    Cheater Oneplus...

We are testing 5G and very soon will be able to take advantages of 5G...

    But not with Oneplus devices...

    Cheater Oneplus...

    As written here:
    You can not update hardware,…
    :D
    Source?
I am not defending OnePlus. And no, I am not an employee,.. this is a user forum..
But: check the specs before buying a device and keep in mind that hardware changes can not be done via a software update

And you must be an illiterate self-righteous "consumer". Doesn't check what he buys, quotes unofficial sources and feels he's wronged over something that he didn't have the sense to check.
And considering you didn't even buy the best phone by OnePlus at the time (the 8 Pro), you really expect us to believe you're willing to shell out for "best" phone which is likely to cost atleast double of what you paid for the 8T? Don't kid yourself

Again, the basis of your "cheater oneplus" argument is based on a sketchy statement from an ignorant support executive, and not plain and hard tech facts.
