    He distributes information.
For more: contact the official support and don't blame people like the mods, who are helping to have a place, where we can discuss and exchange our knowledge.
support requests have to be answered by the support, not the mods! they are spending their free time without getting money for it!

I am not looking for a a dramatic discussion with you.

The "Mods" aren't fostering an environment conducive to discuss anything when they subjectively close threads that are attempting to have a community discussion about the product purchased.

they are closing duplicate and redundant threads.
It is not that difficult to read and follow the community rules and use search function before creating a thread.
This is how you have to act in normally every community.

If YOU search this forum, you'll notice you can't find a single thread open relevant to the Oxygen OS OTA update version 9.5.13, they have all been rudely closed. There's no redundant threads. Your argument is invalid.

Those customer came here, searched for information relevant to their OnePlus 7 Pro and the Oxygen OS OTA update version 9.5.13 and didn't find anything, opened a thread only to have it closed by a mod with a comment of "wait for the official thread to be opened".

Who is going to be opening the official thread? A customer or someone authoritative like @Manu j ?

    When will it be opened?

If you received the update notification via System Update, you can rest assured it is via the official channel. Why would you think otherwise?

I understand there were Grammer issues, and it is quite possible that an update was released by mistake, just as it happened with Huawei. But irrespective, you can be sure that it is coming from the official channel only.

It will be opened by Manu. As always (with every update) be patient and wait.
If 1000 people got an update, what do you think how many threads will be opened if they don't follow the rules and the mods won't close the threads? right X > 1000. You can't handle the flood of such threads

Referring to my original post, there have been supply chain attacks. Google supply chain attacks for more information.

A leading computer manufacturer recently experience a supply chain attacks where a malicious threat actor compromised the update functionality to install malware. It's a realistic Cybersecurity attack vector.

So, the question here is why you need a new thread? Why not use the last official thread for discussion?
If a thread is closed with the premise to wait for the official update thread being created or use the last official thread for discussion, why create more?
There is even a software excitement thread to discuss about updates.
And like @SoniaB said, most of this threads are just a screenshot of the notification with no actual content.
This is just an update, if you are worried about the authenticity because there is no official thread released, you can just wait a couple of days.

    It's easy,
Go to the device section that you are interested, check the pinned threads.
C'mon! I know you can! Do it!
