I only got my 6T 3 months ago after having a long battle over a bad OP5 repair job and still had to pay towards new phone.

No, whether they have a head office in Europe or not, they are beholden to EU courts if they sell into the EU markets.

Yes a French court can convict them. But it is up to a hong kong bailiff to enforce the judgment.
It's not getting a favorable judgment that worries me. The French court will undoubtedly do it. But I would have trouble enforcing this decision at the other end of the world by a local juisser

How did you pay for your phone? If you used a credit card or for that matter debit card, contact your card issuer and get a charge back.

contacted, but more than 180 days, so cloturé as being unable to do anything because out of time claims.

If you know another idea to enforce the law, I'm a taker, you'll be my hero

A big part of business economics, which is heavily dependent on consumer sentiment, is that consumer sentiment ('feeling') is not logical or rational. There's a whole interdisciplinary study of behavioral economics that is very much focused on how consumers and people in general don't behave rationally or logically. To a lot of people, it's logical that Apple basically sells overpriced products and that for the same money, one can get a lot more bang for the buck by buying a competing product. And yet, Apple is the world's most valuable company in terms of market cap. Behavioral economics is about perceptions and feelings (and how that affects spending), logical or not.

Consumer economics - and therefore business economics - is behavioral economics.

Upgraded technology at cheaper price than the already existing one is being sold for is the issue!
You seem to have totally missed the point here.

no one is against decisive pricing .... but why not rollout a buyback scheme for the 6T users in the community ?

    Sarcasm has no role here!

OnePlus is a business for profit so there will be no buy back scheme.

You say "Upgraded technology at cheaper price than the already existing one is being sold for is the issue!"

Let me get this clear, if prices go down then people complain. When prices go up, people complain. If OnePlus did a buy back program, how much would it be for and where would the cut off date be? I'm pretty sure people would find a many new things to complain about. If OnePlus does a buy back program and goes broke then people would complain. It would seem the best response from OnePlus would be to ignore you.

I understand perfectly what got your nose out of joint over. I'm saying it will be best for OnePlus to ignore the moaners. You are wasting your time complaining.

The Pro model is of course relevant here. Many people have been complaining that OnePlus phones have been becoming increasingly unaffordable as they continue to try and capture more of the premium market share so they decided to try and make the regular model more affordable to appease people who might not be able to spend the money on the Pro.

Which was at least partly possible due to reusing some of the components from the 6T that might be able to be sourced cheaper now as well as them saving money on R&D costs and manufacturing equipment that they already have from the previous model.

You obviously thought the 6t was worth the price and could afford it when you bought it or you wouldn't have made the purchase at the time. The fact that they were able to offer a product for cheaper doesn't take anything away from your phone or it's value to you. Technology always becomes cheaper as time goes on. What was state of the art last year can be made and bought for cheaper the next. It's the same all across the industry, nothing unusual or unfair here.
