Oneplus folks just tell me what is the use of that 1 to 15% battery level when I just can't capture the moment of my life due to flash disabled to preserve battery!!?
I might be camping where there is no network coverage. By chance my battery is 15% and less in the evening. So what? I can't just use flash to capture that moment! It's ridiculous.

And if you try to manually re-enable flash when you're in this situation, does it work?

(Really asking, never tried myself. Maybe it's just a default setting to help prevent battery drain, but can be re-enabled if the user confirms its intention.)

on oreo. the battery saver mode is now a much harsher version than in nougat (previously in nougat u can on it 24/7
as it's a light version of battery saving mode)
however oreo ones is a heavy saving mode(not to the extreme saving airplane style but half there. it really do disable quite a lot of things).
I tone it down to 10% only auto on.

in the low battery it is common to turn off the flash in all devices not only 1 + every mobile brand do the same and you have to maintain the charging or else turn off the power saving mode maybe sometimes power saving mode disable and does not start the flashlight in the low battery
