Really annoying? OnePlus know they got 4 million booking and still they cant get 1 million phones manufactured in 2 weeks, saying this because even the people ranked in few thousands did not receive it.

not really 4 million ... most of those are dummy accounts which people used to bump up in the queue ...

I understand the reasons for the invite system but they should have the phone ready to go when they did the release. The note 5 was just released and they were available for purchase almost immediately. IMO.

they could achive the same by precisely calculating the delivery date upon online purchases upon order ( before payment ) hence people would decide to wait and/or come back later or opt for something else like i did with a nexus 6 64GB for 400€ from amazon.de. that way they could keep up the same production scheme, more or less directly related to orders pending, hence avoid the risk they avoid with invites, and therewith avoid the invite mess. main problem with the invite system is the lack of transparency as to when one can expect an invite. this worked with the one for 300€ and top specs at the time + CM, while the "2" is not beyond doubts as to specs and has a poor OS, still in it's infancy and flawed, while it costs now 400€. so the screws have been turned tighter on two ends, less overflying hardware and less underdog pricing + broken promises to early adopters / owners of the ONE as to when they could expect an invite. everyone who gathered all the numbers and information provided by OP could easily calculate whether if they tell the truth, if he/she could expect an invite from the first batch (email invites, not events) the fell short by far and every day that passes farther.
