In case it isn't obvious to you, screenshots do not show hardware defects. Moreover, Burn in is a common phenomenon in AMOLED displays (precisely why the industry is moving towards Mini-LED). OnePlus covers it under warranty, so go and get the display replaced, instead of creating redundant threads.

Screen burn in is not visible in screen shots.
That's not cheating, it's caused by static usage at high brightness.
Perhaps read up on the matter.

No.... Its a hardware issue.... They don't show up on screenshots. Imagine trying to take a screenshot of a cracked screen.... Do you think we'll see it?

It's visible to you because you are viewing it on the same display.
Check on any other device and perhaps your illusion will break.

It is a common problem on every device with an AMOLED display. Perhaps go and check why burn in occurs? You're not even realising what the issue is and how to show it to others.

IT'S NOT VISIBLE TO US BECAUSE YOU ARE SHARING A SCREENSHOT, WHICH SHOWS THE CONTENT MEANT TO BE SHOWN ON THE DISPLAY. LIKE ALREADY MENTIONED, HARDWARE ISSUES ARE VISIBLE IF YOU CLICK AN IMAGE OF OF THE DISPLAY USING ANOTHER PHONE/CAMERA

Because the issue is with YOUR HARDWARE, a screenshot will only show SOFTWARE ISSUES.

All devices, including Apple, Samsung and Xioami with AMOLED screens can show burn in as what you described.... It's a downside of the technology. Contact support, you can have it replaced in warranty.

1 Samsung S10+ (navigation buttons), 1 OnePlus 3 (status bar icons). OnePlus gave me a replacement under warranty. Samsung didn't. Both use AMOLED displays produced by Samsung. Read up on it, before you make a further fool of yourself on a public forum
