Just got the update on my OnePlus 7 pro, Indian Retail unit.
This android 10 update from OnePlus seems half baked and totally uninspired from OnePlus's side.
Before I explain here are some info:

    Device : OnePlus 7 Pro
    Country : India
    Update method : Official OTA

    Issues I've found till now:

    1) Black bar under whatsapp and YouTube, This bar seems permanent and changing the phone to a light theme doesn't help either (I've attached a screenshot of what I mean)

    2) When the notification shade is pulled down, The rest of the display contents fade, Looks very Xiaomi MIUI. And does not look stock. (Screenshot provided)

    3) The raging dark mode inconsistencies, The notification shade is Grey while the notifications themselves are pitch black. Feels very inconsistent. Stock android 10 provides pitch black throughout the notification system, Why does OnePlus have to fiddle with that awesome implementation by Google?

    4) Android 10's Smart reply feature is buggy (Does not show up sometimes)

This update seems rushed in some way. Usually OnePlus has multiple open betas before releasing a stable update. But this time they only pushed out 2 open betas and the problems noticed by other open beta users were not even fixed in the stable build. I feel this rushed update of oneplus has something to do with their launch of the 7T series.

PS : I was only able to pick up the visual changes as of now since I just installed the update. Will update this thread if any other bugs are found.

Isn't the white bar just the new pill used for Android 10?

Have you tried switching to ONEPLUS gestures.

Yes the white bar is the new pill for Android 10. I'm not referring to the white bar, I'm referring to the black background that surrounds it.

    I've personally felt that the 7 pro's cameras were a B+
And it's the same. Just a bunch of added features in android 10 (Wide angle video recording, Super stable mode etc).
But I don't see any significant difference in the quality of the picture after the Android 10 update

Well, you could always choose the bar not to be displayed.

I guess the space is needed for the gestures to be performed correctly.

Yes you can, But doing that would remove the new side gestures to go back.

Yes they could've made that black bar translucent to any specific app. Google's stock implementation doesn't look as silly as oneplus's
