My OnePlus 7 screen has a burn in mark on the fingerprint, where the light shines. It can only be seen if viewed under direct sunlight. Has anyone else encountered with this problem? My screen brightness is always on auto. It has been a month for me using the phone.

Edit : I've attached some pictures for you guys to see that this is not the fp sensor as the cutout for fp is very small, its a screen burn in mark

What you're seeing is not burn in, burn in is visible in any light. What you're seeing is the actual fp sensor through the display.

... pretty sure you're looking at the fingerprint sensor. Do you even know what burn in is?

I had the same issue 2 week ago, on the entire left border of the screen (better visible with dark grey app like steam app and night mode on). Had to return it to Amazon, who sent me a new device. Try to load dark app and turn on night mode (eye saver). If you see burn-in areas, rotating device, return it ASAP.

You haven't had the same issue as the op, what they're describing is different to what you describe. The op has no issue here, the fingerprint sensor is visible in direct bright light.

Obviously you don't, because that is most definitely the finger print sensor.

That is definitely the fingeprint sensor that you are seeing. It is visible under very bright conditions due to the translucent nature of AMOLED displays.

burn in is something that is visible when screen is on, not off.
It's the hole for the fingerprint scanner which is a little bit larger than the scanner.

blyat don't be debil. everybody can see it. plus burn in you can see in dark room in sunny room in your babushkas basement doesn't matter.

the thing you see is only visible in perfect lighting conditions.
