I have a OnePlus 7t and I hate it. The latest annoying bug is it constantly freezes in chrome mostly when typing in forums like what doing now. All of the sudden, I can no longer type, as if the keyboard just stopped. I'm sitting there typing away, but when I look up, the keystroke don't show. I can usually get it back without losing what I typed, by doing long press, "select all" , and then clicking back where I left off. Annoying, and never had this issue before. My crappy g7 works better for typing.

And I already updated system with the available update that is allowed with my T-Mobile version.
My days of going to xda and wasting time rooting or whatever it's called, just to get a more recent phone update are over. I just want a phone that actually works properly, and this one doesn't.

What did you uninstall and reinstall? Chrome? Or something else. Reason I ask, is I just tried, but there appears to be no way to uninstall Chrome on a phone that is not rooted. It lets me disable/enable Chrome, and also clear cache, etc, which neither helped.

I'll give that a shot, but this problem has been going on for 2 to 3 months, in which time I received a few different updates, so I am not sure how far Id have to roll back.
Funny thing, well maybe not funny is it did it again while typing this message twice...lol I was typing away, the keyboard responds as it should, but I look up, and the cursor just sat blinking, with only my first sentence or 2 displayed. I've learned that I can hard press the text that is showing, hit select all, click on blank spot after cursor, and all the missing keystrokes show up.
