Thank you for the link, Mario.

Since this is not specifically related to the OnePlus 8T, the section where you started the thread, or OnePlus as a whole, I am going to move it to the Tech section, where it belongs.

About the link you shared, that news literally says:

"Toss out your Xiaomi and Huawei phones, but keep the OnePlus ones, warns the government of Lithuania following the publication of its own report about the security of Chinese-made 5G smartphones".

The one I linked before says:

"The National Cyber Centre's report also said the Xiaomi phone was sending encrypted phone usage data to a server in Singapore. A security flaw was also found in the P40 5G phone by China's Huawei (HWT.UL) but none was found in the phone of another Chinese maker, OnePlus, it said".

OnePlus also has opt in Usage Analytics stats?
So I guess Xiaomi and Huawer were not opt in and sending illegal data?

It says but keep the OnePlus ones. One thing is clear though Xiaomi phones can't be trusted! And in India, they are a lot

That article mentions an official document.

I've read that document and it says the government used these devices to conduct the study: HuaweiP40 5G , Xiaomi Mi 10T 5G, OnePlus 8T 5G.

    The same official document says:

"Three of the cybersecurity risks have been found in Xiaomi cell phone, one in Huawei, and no cybersecurity vulnerabilities have been identified in OnePlus".

It's literally saying the OnePlus device is safe.
