Those guys don't even need an invite for the phone since they might actually make a OPT clone if they don't get the original one;)

Just shows how false the supposed invite "algorithm" is.
@Raggy post makes no mention that sales will focus on the Chinese market first. Oneplus say one thing, then do another. Just not trustworthy.

I think they make phones, sell them to China and India (fast money), and with the profit they make phones for EU/NA. If they would first make for EU/NA, they would grow much slower. So the more they sell in China, the faster we'll get more phones I think..

Makes sense. Quick cash sale funding the manufacture of stock for the invite based demand.

This was how it worked with the opo. Sea shipments are cheaper, but airfreight was quicker. Once demand warranted it, they dhipped ore by air.

I suspect the Tianjin explosion may have hit the supply (they may have had some in the port or they normally ship through there).

You don't know if this is positive or negative?

Let me explain the following: I am member #1889 and I have been active since March 2014. On top of that I have bought around a dozen OnePlus Ones for family and friends, but still, I haven't received my OP2 invite yet.

Now you can tell me if that's a good or a bad thing.

That may well be the case but I also think they would have posted about it...

Obviously, they are getting more profit for selling them at home so I can't blame the company for that. Still would be nice to bump up production for the "International" version to get more money from the rest of us.
