    India is not supported.

I got in touch with customer care that suggested I ship it to a friend in a supported country. Also, note that you would have to bear shipping charges in the event of service / returns!

Would the 1+1 network band support the network in india?!
curious. since they are shipping only in select countries, there must be a reason. Now i dont care whatever the reason, but it should at least detect the network here in india!

    any indian customers yet?

It has always surprised me that India which has one of the largest mobile using population is ignored my companies when a new device is launched.

Motorola recently unveiled Moto E in India before launching it globally and it was a huge success.

I am sure a phone like OnePlus One can find huge market here but right now I don't see we have any chance of getting the device. Hope at some point the company will take such a big market seriously. Or I am guessing it will enter through the grey market like other popular devices do when not launched officially.

A lot of it is down to the taxes. And the fact India has a lot of very low cost manufacturers there already, most companies don't see a point in fighting, price will overcome brand names.

I'd guess that there are likely challenges getting a device into India.

I doubt companies ignore India I'm sure it's on the radar of OnePlus and I'd expect once demand is satisfied from the launch countries they can focus on other big markets like India and other emerging markets like South America, Russia etc

Isn't there like a BILLION people in India?

Maybe they can't manage the launch in another country with "like a BILLION" people.
