The OnePlus and McLaren partnership is officially over. Does this mean no updates for the McLaren edition phones?

I would be mightily annoyed if this was the case as my phone is only 7 months old. If OnePlus don't honour the update schedule of 2 years of Android updates and 3 years of security updates, OnePlus are going to lose more customers.

When was the last time a supercar manufacturer broke up with your phone manufacturer and you didn't get updates because of that ?

Sheesh ! Stupid conclusion to come to !

Yo, McLaren edition phone don't have much to do with McLaren except for the design and logo. The phone is still OnePlus' and OnePlus will provide the necessary updates as it has been doing for other phones.

Updates would come as usual as per the device life cycle for all models.
