With every price increase it's making it harder and harder to justify getting the OnePlus over other phones now and for me paying £300 or so more to get a vastly better camera, faster updates, plus all of google's know how is very enticing.

OnePlus are not budget phones anymore and it's unfortunate the one thing which people want which is a good camera, with good post-processing that OnePlus simply cannot deliver on this.

My OP6 took excellent photo's on oreo but now I am on pie the edge detection, portrait mode have all taken a nose dive in quality and the stark contrast between my OP6 and photo's taken with the Pixel 2/3 is all too apparent.

If the aperture is indeed f2.0 then it could indeed be another step backwards in the camera department.

I don't believe it. It says that oneplus 6t comes with Android oreo 8.1 but we already know that it will come with Android 9.0 pre installed

The mentioned shop is one of the bigger ones in germany. The other listed specs seem quiet legit. We'll see on monday what's to expect. But i wouldn't expect to many changes from this spec-sheet and pricing

Not sure if you get what I did. That post was in an isolated thread he created and I merged it with this one. Nothing more than that. And in this thread everyone can speculate as much as they want. :p

This picture was on the pop up event invite on facebook.
The wallpaper sure is a depature from the colorful ones we’ve come to expect since the 3.
Maybe this is part of the whole new UI oneplus was talking about. Excited to see it.

Given that the 6T most likely won't come with an SD card slot but will arrive with 9.0 then it's impossible to know whether any of the specs mentioned are correct or not.

GSMArena has listed removable storage from the beginning and recently changed its wording from "Removable storage - yes" to "microSD, up to 256 GB (uses SIM 2 slot)".

Lower aperture means more light in dark places, eg better photos.
If they raise the aperture from 1.8 to 2.0 it means less light will come in and pictures at night will be worse as the sensor receives less light.
Thats how i understood aperture works, might be completely off though

    you're absolutely right..
It's about 30% slower and also has a bit less Bokeh...

but that means deeper depth of field and more clarity in certain situations...
I've seen a lot of complaining about washed out backgrounds..

So if they get the secondary camera to work good in lowlight conditions to support the main cam and improved the portrait mode it can also be an advantage... ;D

Time will tell if OnePlus take full advantage of the second camera and one thing if for certain their night mode is not going to come even close to the Pixel's

    yep...
we'll see in a couple of days... ;D

    I've seen the Google samples...
    Looking great.. 8O
Probably a long exposure Auto mode combined with additional Underexposed shot not to blowout the lights and whites...
Night HDR so to speak.. ;D

The interesting thing is it costs £300-400 more for the 'flagship' of the day compared to the OnePlus of the day. When the greatest value OP3 was released at £300, a Galaxy S was £600. Each new OP costs £20-30 more than the last, but today flagships that OP are offering an alternative to are over £1000.
The offering hasn't changed. Still 25-50% cheaper. The industry overall benchmark for quality and the price that goes with that has been raised.
