Woo Hoo! I got quoted! I jumped on Exodus because my COS12 ROM was giving me TERRIBLE battery life. Like 8 hours of run time (not SOT) before I needed to recharge... Exodus is better... but not what it used to be... but that just means my battery is probably on it's way out.

I'm probably going to jump ship to another ROM... I just haven't figured out what yet. I hate wiping data and starting over since it seems to take forever to get things the specific way I like it.

When I jumped from COS12 because of my battery life woes, everything I read said the Exodus ROM is king. With all this Content Guard crap in place, a lot of people are jumping ship... Is everyone jumping to the same ROM? I've heard CM 12.1 nightlys are buggy, and some of the unofficial SlimRoms don't support Xposed... So I'm stuck. Love the MMS app with Cyanogen (with the quick replies) but there is no other draw to that ROM because I don't want to support a bunch of back stabbing hypocrites. How stable is Omnirom? I'm surprised there isn't more buzz about that ROM on this site.

Cm 12.1 is not buggy. With ak kernel and Styloking profile, battery life is better than exodus.

Slim supports xposed, look at my sig.

Google MMS is almost like cyanogen, but with more features.... Theme/look is about the same.

do you have a link to that profile? I would think that profile should be ok on any ROM right, esp. a cm based rom

We need to pull more developers in this thread and have positive arguments with them.
We need to educate them on add-on contents and base OS integrations.

I think we are way past that stage bro...... If their intention really was to discuss, then we wouldn't have reached this point ever. It wouldn't have been added without consultation. And certainly not by guising it as a safety tool for us sometimes, & as a way to help devs on other occasions.

Can someone find out if integrating non-open source content like this, violates GPL or other open source licensing? That is the only way we can stop this menace. I read somewhere that now contenguard/sources are going closed source now.
