It was recalled that there was Widevine DRM issue for the previous OP devices. I would like to remind OP on updating the issue for the newer OP6.

HAs anyone got any reply or information if this op6 can play netflix in hd? If it ships without windvine l1 not installed that will be a joke.

No. Widevine DRM adds no additional cost to the device.

Yes, that is the only issue.

OP should have absolutely no reason not to include L1 DRM in their next flagship device. It would be very foolish of them doing otherwise.

They didn't miss it they didn't pay for it, just like they don't Pay for anything to be certified like the top brands do.

But Widevine certification is free. They literally have to pay nothing for it.

There is always a cost for certification / licencing, why do to think nothing is certified/ licenced on a OP device?

Because OP never went through the certification process until recently. Widevine certification is free, simple as that. It only costs to implement as a streaming service that actively uses the DRM

Is this why OP have now included it?
There was a time when you had to have 2 certified engineers and a license.

that's the key issue have they bothered taking to Amazon and Google play movies to make sure they get on their approved device list...we know the answer is no this is where some corners are cut.

secretly I am hoping to be proved wrong!!
