think twice before buy an OnePlus next time. they have started to become like any other manufacturer in release updates. so stay calm it's normal. and I think they are concentrated on OnePlus 7. Stay tuned.

Yes... Why we get angry coz the CEO saying that we will do what our users like in that way he speaking in one plus 6 launch day also...if he don't say that we won't get angry... he fail to satisfy us...really the battery draining issue, brightness issue and heating issue, this three issues making me feel very bad for choosing one plus and I am thinking that am wasted my money 40k....

Their software team has to concentrate on 3/3T/5/5T/6/6T. It'll take time for them so satisfy all of them. If you really don't have any patience, flash a custom ROM in your device. It's really better.

I gave you a suggestion. No one compelled you to buy this device. It's your responsibility on whatever happens to your device.

Either way, OnePlus' staff doesn't read these forums. It's of no use for you to whine here.

Replying to a whining thread doesn't automatically term me as an,"OnePlus Supporter". I'm just implying the truth.

If you have battery and heating issues after an update then the solution is to charge your phone overnight while it's turned on

    Tl;dr it's not oneplus' fault

Heating and battery drain are because people do not realise that they have to leave their phone on a charger even after the battery is at 100% for optimisation to complete

Also there are fools who go and wipe their caches thinking that will solve it. Wiping caches will actually erase the optimisation that's already complete and make the situation worse

I have explained what the cache partition does here: https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/one-plus-5-lags-after-9-0.974976/page-3#post-19739253

Here's a technical explanation on why clearing the cache is a very bad idea
    https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/closed-battery-performance.911024/#post-19181266

Here's an explanation about how dash charge causes battery drain because users don't realise that their phone needs to be left at 100% on a charger for a few hours otherwise they will face battery drain

okay bot. but it's genuine issue on 9.0.2 every one is noticed that the update have major issue of battery draining.
like Apple strategy giving old model the battery backup issue to push the users to buy new one.
OnePlus is trying to copy Apple from the first.
    btw help with battery draining?

The solution really is to charge your phone overnight

There's no other "trick" to it

I'm not charging the phone over night.
i know how to take advantage of battery and how to make it last longer. but when 9.0.2 update came battery backup is lower.

Well that's how Google coded android

Your device starts optimisation only when it's connected to a charger, 100% charged and not moving physically

After a system update this optimisation needs to be redone
And until it completes you will face battery drain and lag issues
