@GoonerBoy one more battery obsessed geek :p
Its like asking everyone... Kitna deti hai bhai :p
Bro use the device the way you like, i am sure your device with AK wuld be giving you 7 hour SOT wich is more than enough, so just let it be. With all these tips you may extract another hour from the battery, what difference would that make, just charge the device an hour earlier and breathe.

    All this in one day?

Yup, its correct. [But that doesn't mean you should open every single app on your phone. Just don't put any special effort to close unnecessary apps. Android will kill them when needed.]

Keeping an app open is better than closing and then re-opening it. If you keep it open, when you minimise it will be somewhat cached in RAM. The next time you access the app, it will be reloaded from the RAM itself which is fast, efficient, less CPU intensive, battery saving etc.

But when you access an app that has been closed (or somehow removed from RAM), it has to be loaded into the RAM first before doing anything else. This loading is slower, more CPU intensive and causes more battery drain.

This is just a simple explanation. Just google "Why task killers are not good for android?" and you'll get good articles that explain why its better to leave apps in the RAM rather than close them all to free the RAM.

If you are too lazy to search (and to read) here's a small simple article regarding this topic.

Optimize battery life as much as possible, without compromising performance or features. That's my moto. :)

Funk Wizard will never understand us bro. :D

    Yep.. Thts the expectation.
By games i dont mean stuff like asphalt and all.. One hour of asphalt will drain a lot..
And i dont need 20% remaining..
For me right now it comes with 10% remaining. All ok so far

Sure by this time everyone has their own ways of maximizing battery backup..for their phones.... not too long ago we were dealing with phones which used to freak out in the name of putting them on 3G :p
