EDIT: ended up holding power button >10sec which turned the phone off, then again to turn the phone on, and the install finally started. Phew!
Please help, I don't know what to do! My phone is not rooted, I got the message that the update was available so I went to download it. I hit the issue of looping back to recovery mode so I searched the forum and came up on this set of instructions:
When you enter Recovery Mode, select the 2nd option, "Apply Update"
Then again select the 2nd option "Choose from internal Storage"
Then select 0/
Then select Android/
then select Data/
Then select com.cyngn.fota/
Then select Cache/
You will now find the ZIP file named "cm-12.0-YNG1TAS17L-bacon-sign
select this file, you are good to go !!
Once it installs the file, it will again reboot and gets back to the same Recovery mode window, this time select Reboot option.
I did that, but now it looks like the phone was wiped out completely. When I hold the power button for more than 10 seconds the screen flickers but nothing else happens. I did another forum search and tried power+volume up, and now I have a black screen with the words "Fastboot Mode"
Don't know what to do from there. Please help!
