Compatibility Issues Bose QuietComfort 20 and OP5

    lilboy , Feb 21, 2020 :

I have a OP5 with a Oxygen OS 9.0.10 and recently I've been having trouble using my Bose QuietComfort 20 (Android) headphones with it. More specifically the volume rocker, microphone and other buttons do not work.

The headphones work just fine to listen to music and before I did not have any problems with them.
They also work perfectly well with other Android devices.

Is this a software compatibility issue?

I tried to follow an advice in other thread to go to Settings -> Apps -> Draw Over Other Apps -> Show System -> Select System UI and grant the permission to Draw over other apps.

    This still did not work.

Does anyone have any other tips?

What else have you tried? Have you cleaned the headphone port for your phone?

    Nothing, besides that.

I first thought that it was a problem with the phones, so I activated the warranty and the problem persisted.

I didn't think about cleaning the headphone port because other phones work just fine.
What would you recommend doing to clean it?

Most people here and everywhere would say to use a toothpick and if you have it spray it with some air duster spray to blow out any other sort of debris...
