Lot's of other devices are being confirmed to have this when the phone is flipped 180, including the 3T.

I don't have it on my OP2 because the screen can only flip 90 degrees.

Ok, maybe i can't see it because i was waiting to see a more noticeable jello effect, like the other videos that i saw. But if that is the issue it isn't a problem for me. I had not even noticed it [e]1f602[/e]

When people say that they mean PHYSICALLY turning the phone upside down. Whatever way the screen is oriented in software does not matter.

The rotation of the screen is controlled by a code. By default it is 0 but on the OP5 it is 180 aka upside down so it matters very much.

I'm also feeling that same problem but just in some apps I guess the ones that update the screen all the time are the ones suffering more with this up side down screen. Is a total mix of feelings, I like the phone but I see oneplus make so mistakes with op5 that I don't really now what to do. First the camera the major feature advertise by the company, no OIS, impossible to record videos and release the phone with no proper testing to enable at least the EIS. Now the screen is up side down and yes op is your responsibility to test the phone before release is not like clients have test it for u. Before I buy op5 oneplus my only choice to buy a phone I not even consider buy from other OEM but now and with answers like the ones from op CEO I really lost most of the trust I have in the company. So many problems starting with benchmark tests and ending with CEO answer for jelly scrolling effect that I will think twice before buy oneplus again. If op have made some wrong choices they need to step forward and assume they mistake.

No... The ONLY thing that matters is the physical rotation of the panel, or to be more exact, the direction the panel refreshes in. The reason the picture is flipped 180 degrees on OP5 is because the panel is PHYSICALLY upside down. You'd see the same effect even if the picture was not flipped, you'd just be looking at a upside down picture then.

then why isn't every OP5 affected... I read an article that stated they had two devices side by side and one had it the other didn't...

    No jelly effect there.

In order to to capture the effect, he must records with another device, not with an app

Yea, I am pretty sure that the video has some strange refresh rate and is showing an exaggerated depiction of what's really happening. It's really not that big of a deal. I don't notice it unless I try super hard to look for it.

Ok. Because I am one of the users who have no issue with the jelly effect. I'll record and post my twitter feed when I get home to verify.

And once I do, what does that prove? That it may not be a display panel upside down issue...? o_O

Yes. Even with it being tilted and out under sunlight I can see it.

They all have it. It's just an issue of whether you can perceive it.
