I always consider resale value, pay more on the front end, get more on the back end. The 12 will always be more desirable than the 8. Besides that, you don't want the new buyer to think you're a cheap a$$

I really think it is worth if you plan on keeping it for the next 3 years or so. In other case if you plan to resell and get a new one as it comes out its not worth in my opinion.

Remember you are also getting 256GB of storage, instead of 128GB for the extra $30

12GB is helpful if you are running lots and lots of apps and multi-tasking between them. More than 50. If you are a casual user 6 or 8gb is more than enough. The 12GB is for the extreme user.

Just my opinion. People are free to spend their money however they want.

I hope I can make your decision easier I'm currently doing a test right now I have twenty two apps open and 17 tabs open on my 8gb right now. I was second-guessing my decision to get the 8gb instead of the 12gb but after doing this test I am satisfied. Even with all those apps open I still am only using 84% of the RAM on the 8gb and I can even open new apps and use the phone with minimal lag.

Thanks for all the views folks. JFYI, I ended up ordering the 12GB model. As a matter of fact I do plan on sticking with Op7 Pro for at least 2 years+ and don't mind the extra premium - especially given the GST claim I can do from my Amazon business account.

Hi Hope you don't mind me asking this question, bare with me its about the differences between 8gb ram and 12gb ram. I'm one of the few Window Phone uses left and now with the termination of the OS support for the mobile I am now looking at a new device. At present I have a Microsoft 950XL, not only is the camera (front and rear) Great, I use it has a windows 10 pc using Continuum and Cortana (AI), because of how I use my device I was thinking that having the 12gb ram variant would benefit me the most. In the past I have used android devices for VR ( Samsung Gear VR). despite the brands that I have mentioned One plus seems to be the better choice, I am assuming that the android platform/Oneplus have alternative apps that will allow me to still use that device in the manner I do now.
Apologies if posted win wrong feed / thread.
    Thanks in advance

Greetings! In that case, you're better off with the 12GB variant. I have the 8GB variant and I plan on using it for at least 4 years so the 12GB one should be better for longer! :)

I think on tests I have seen, android with standard apps and games in cache only uses about 5gb so 12gb might be a bit overkill for now. but I suppose you are a bit more future proof.

For the price of a tank a gas just get the 12gb. You probably don't need it but want it is your asking. I got the 12gb because I wanted the best version.

I went with 12 because I didn't want the phone to slow down or lag... I have not been disappointed. If you can afford the difference in money from the 8 to the 12 just do it.
