Connect app not loading local storage Jan 21, 2022 via OnePlus 7 Pro

    On my oneplus 7 pro connect app was working fine until the recent update the app is not loading local storage as a result i am unable to cast local videos into my oneplus q1 tv . It is very annoying to have such a bug . I tried enabling all the permission and reinstalling the app nothing seems to be working. FYI THE REMOTE FEATURES ARE WORKING FINE IN THE APP. hope you guys will provide me with a resolution soon

    The above screenshot I shared was from 9Pro and I even tested the same on my Samsung M40 and it works there too.
    Not sure what's causing it even after app data reset. Definitely some media permission issue.
    You can sideload the 1.6.0 version and see if it works fine.

    Ok...Will check the Local folders part on that version and get back to you. I hardly use the casting from Local folder due to it's slow loading time and compatibility issues of playback with many videos, so haven't used it on the new version yet.

    Ok bro please check it , it has been a helpful feature for me as it eliminated the trouble of using a pendrive to transfer the videos to my tv

    Sure will do. But as an alternative I would suggest using MX player/Google Photos app for casting media to TV meanwhile.

    So I checked and it working for me. It takes slightly longer time to open than before but works.
    If it shows no results, either clear data of the App or just reset the permissions once for the App and try again.

    Let me lock the app in background and let it load for 1 hr lets see if that works

    May be its having a hard time loading up all the files in 7 pro even the gallery app is slow , they told they are gonna fix it with a update but nothing got fixed yet
