Contacts lost!! Aug 19, 2014

    Hi,
    Did anyone experience this???

    I synced my contacts and when i was about to dial a number which i dialed the previous day is missing and i am not able to see that contact anymore. I did sync the contacts from everywhere, but no use.

    Can anyone let me know how to get back that deleted contacts? Have anyone faced this issue?

    try exporting them to storage, i had this trouble did that and they seem to be staying

    I tried the suggestion which you gave. i exported contacts to storage and then imported them back. But still not finding the missing contacts. Also i confirmed that i have selected to display all contacts under "contact to display".

    If there is some other method to retrieve the contacts. Kindly let us know.

    Yeah I regularly backup my contacts (via export). Once every 2-3 months because Google's pretty shit at backing up my contacts. I lose like, 1 contact everytime I sync :p

    I've always had that problem on my old android device (an LG) too. Best thing to do is backup the contacts you have now, then disable google's contacts sync, then clear your contacts cache, import your contacts back, and plug in your missing contacts.

    did u check your gmail contacts through your pc? you might be luck to see it there.

    Unfortunately this is really common with Android :( My current LG 4X HD sucks at keeping my contacts.
