    Hello community wormies,

With the OnePlus 8 Series online launch date announced and many of you staying at home, we bet it's the perfect time for news hunting and sharing. To take the first hype train to the launch event and the new products, let's make it fun through this Community Newsroom. You'll be able to create and read all kinds of news, real and fake. The rule is simple – the most accurate and recent news reporter will receive a launch goodie bag. The contest will be closed on April 9, 11:00 PM ET. Max 10 users will be rewarded.

    How it goes:
    • Copy the latest/most accurate/detailed news about the upcoming products from every possible channel and share it in community with the resource (graphics, videos are all acceptable);
    • You can also create your own piece of news, based on your best educated guess about the new products. Don't forget to make it convincing.
    • The most recent, accurate news (only one of each specific feature) will be stickied, and the user who reported the news will be rewarded with a OnePlus 8 Series Launch goodie bag.
    • For the shared or created that we aren't able to stick/confirm by the launch, we'll confirm/stick it right after the launch, and the reporter who provided the first and most accurate news will still be rewarded with a launch goodie bag.
    Rules:
    • Please read the official terms and conditions before you enter this contest.
    • Posts will be sticked/winners will be selected from time to time.

    Great @camohan ;):)

I love the Interstellar Glow, although I would like even more to see a gold or Almond like the OnePlus 7 Pro

    Hash99 , Mar 30, 2020 :
The OnePlus 8 Pro isn’t far from its official debut, and this week we’ve learned a lot about the device. To add a cherry on top, Ishan Agarwal has posted more tidbits about the OnePlus 8 Pro, including its display and more.

A huge leak earlier this week from the same source revealed the full spec sheet for the OnePlus 8 Pro. That included a 6.78-inch display with a punch-hole cutout, 120Hz refresh rate, and another QHD+ panel too.

On top of that, this latest leak is revealing a few more specifics. Agarwal says that the OnePlus 8 Pro display will be another curved panel, just like the OnePlus 7 Pro that preceded it. Apparently, OnePlus will also give more attention to making this display color accurate as well as including MEMC (Motion Estimation/Motion Compensation) and HDR10+ support. 10-bit HDR will always be turned on, too.

Further, the OnePlus 8 Pro’s display will apparently peak at 1,400 nits. The OnePlus 7 Pro, by comparison, maxed out at 800 nits and the OnePlus 7T at 1,000 nits.

With the smoother 120Hz refresh rate, OnePlus is reportedly working on making its OxygenOS Android skin “Smoother and Faster.” This will be done by optimizing the platform, apparently. Lastly, this report also mentions improved “Haptics 2.0.”

Can't wait to see what those "supposed" new cameras can do!! The screens and batteries look great too. And I'm sure if wireless charging and IP rating are finally there many people is gonna be very happy!! :D

    I think that it's pretty tough to one-up ( :D) the 7 Pro, look at the 7T Pro :p.
I don't know what they might add that would make me consider changing my 7 Pro, but looking at leaks I don't like the hole-punch camera on the front, for me that's a bit of a downgrade, maybe it's better in the long term but for now my popup camera it's holding up pretty well.
