    Finding 197g_ 1.91to1.jpg

    Greetings, everyone.

Living in a digital age, one indispensable daily carry item is my mobile phone. Just a few years ago, I might have also carried my wallet, apartment key, car key, work badge, etc. But my routine has radically changed with e-wallets, digital lock access to my vehicle, and clock-in via mobile apps rapidly becoming the norm. This has replaced the need to carry additional items.

We are curious to know the EDC (every-day carry) load out of our Community users. That’s why we are hosting a contest called "Finding 197g". Our theme will be WEIGHT. I am sure many of you have correctly guessed that 197g refers to the weight of our latest OnePlus 9 Pro flagship. We believe one of the many factors that contribute to a great flagship and exceptional user experience is the lightness of the device.

    Contest Period:
    • May 20th to June 6th, 2021 (inclusive), 11:59 PM HKT (GMT+8).
    Steps:
    Entries Closed
    1. Upload a photo of your everyday carry items on a digital or analog scale. The weight displayed on the scale has to be a multiple of 197g ± 10g (e.g. 187-207g, 384-404g, 581-601g, etc).
    2. For example, you could show the keys, wearables, OnePlus 9 Pro, and other items you carry on a daily basis on a digital or analog scale.
    OR!
    1. If you are just like me and carry nothing but a smartphone, you can clearly state this on your post and find something of equivalent weight on a digital or analog scale. (197g ± 10g ONLY).
    2. Submit a picture in this thread.
    Rules:
    1. Entries will not be accepted after June 6th, 2021 at 11:59 PM HKT (GMT+8).
    2. Winners will be announced by June 9th, 2021.
    3. Only submissions made inside this thread will be counted.
    4. Only the first valid post will be counted.
    5. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. Any user found indulging in plagiarism will be disqualified and warned per forum rules. You'll also be banned from winning any community awards for a year.
    6. Standard Terms and Conditions apply.
Stay tuned to find out which users can fit the highest multiple of 197g in their EDC. If you’re up to the challenge, you may just find yourself winning a heavyweight prize!

    Prizes:
    • We will select 10 entries at random to win the OnePlus Prize Bundle
(Prize Bundle includes Oneplus Buds, OnePlus Backpack, and OnePlus Water Bottle)

    Happy Weekend, guys!

Loving the entries that have been submitted. It is fascinating to see a wide array of EDC gear in our Community. I was inspired by some gears and gadgets in the entries, which resulted in having multiple items on my "Shopping Cart". *controls the impulse*

lastly, I have a short and fun video in this link, *hint pika pika*

    I am pretty old-school:D
I use a Filofax calendar to organize my work and personal life.
Besides Google Calendar, I use the Filofax for scheduling, important documentation and notes.
    Paper does not forget ;)

Dear @Daniel D. - Carrying only my smartphone would be the worst idea ever- using digital access keys etc. too. Reason: Once my phone breaks, got stolen or even hacked, i m more than lost. More and more people rely on digital tools, but that s a very bad idea. Ransomware hacks for example can block even the biggest players ,and all services offered by them can get blocked or hacked easily. We already saw employees , not able to enter their office, due to a hacked server which was controlling the access to the facilities. How do you want to enter your flat, when there s a power cut due to a hacked power station or simply a hurrican like we had in india these days? Will you kick the door open then? Digital toys are nice, but an analog set of good old keys is way more reliable and not hackable at all.

Aww nooo, no scale with me too...just one weighing scale with least count of 0.1Kg......

Technically, if we can calculate the volume of the object and then find its density on internet, and then multiply the product by 9.8, we can get the weight easily 😉

    Quite an interesting contest, Daniel!
I don't really go out these days due to Lockdown, so I'll have to remember what I used to carry daily:p
Finding a weighing scale also might prove to be difficult (again, lockdown:()
    Let's see...:)

This is what I wear my all day and take it everywhere I go..
    My smartwatch of around 197g
But I don't have analog or digital scale but hoping that my entry will be accepted.
I don't have a Weighting scale..and due to lockdown issues I can't go out to buy one to ask from someone..so I made one myself...
I checked the weight of the device on the internet..and then posted it..
    Hoping to win this contest...
Thank you OnePlus for this Contest... 1621624132647.jpg
