Corrupted SD card

As I wait for my OnePlus One I am using my HTC One M8. I just puruchased a 128 gb SD card for it. I transferred all of my pictures from my previous SD card to the new card and the files became corrupted. The file size is still the same and the properties have not changed, but when I try to view the pictures I get a message saying Media not found. It sucks because all of my pictures from my recent vacation are on the card.

Does anyone know how I can recover the corruptes files?

    Thanks in advance.

are they still on the old card as well or did you delete those. Is it unreadable on both?

There are lots of utils available. You can check if some one can recover it.

    Google it up.

They were corrupted on the old card too. I haven't deleted anything or re-formatted the card. It looks like the files became corrupted during the transfer

I had this happen a bunch of time when I bought Chinese-knockoff SD cards. Only bought originals from ebay in USA since and they have worked a treat.

There's a bunch of programs you can use to try to recover your files. If you research it online, some are even freeware.

Sadly no, but the entire SD card just got some error when plugging it into the computer (cyclic redundancy something or other). If you have access to the card there are some disk recovery apps on thepiratebay which might be of use. Freeware I'm sure. ;-)

Cool, thanks. The card itself does not seem corrupted. All of my music and other files transferred over properly. It was just the pictures I took on my phone which were stored to the previous SD card that became corrupted. I will search Google and the Pirate Bay

Sorry but I work in Computer Forensics and the difficulty in data recovery varies. Nice try though! ;)

Nice try ? lol , YOu know how work SSD right ? so yes it is more hard to recover ... Take more CPU to calculated , to find each byte of data for each file... so please stop saying non sense...

Its not impossible... But take more time ...

On a fast SSD not a proble Read and Write are so fast that it will be faster if YOu got a great computer, but on a SD card... Write and read are slow...

Are you reading the card(s) and seeing corrupt files on your M8, or are you reading the card(s) with your computer and seeing corrupt files?

    Power data recovery.
    Use damaged partition method.
Use the recovery by having your sd card into computer.

Later, once if it shows recovered. save them into pendrive (Thisisimportaant, just follow).

Sad to say that i had the same problem once... and lost the whole SD :(
Could occur when removing the SD card reader from USB on PC: partition killed and data gone.
