V3 looks to have solved the battery drain issue for me. I didn't have my phone in the heat today so can't say if the touch issues are still fixed :)

Alright. Since I've had the phone I thought it was just me not typing correctly or just not pressing hard enough. Started paying attention to it more and it really prevented me from typing fast and was so inaccurate.

Just decided to unlock bootloader, flash TWRP, root, and installed V3 here. Let's see if it works for me.

UPDATE: It's only been a minute or two and I can already see the difference. I just opened up Chrome and started typing with the stock keyboard, and I can already notice a difference.

I'll get everything up and running how I had it and I'll report back tomorrow sometime.

It's been almost a full day on with the kernel installed and it's been night and day difference for me.

Battery drain seems normal, so it looks like they fixed the issue? I still kept DTTW disabled as well as gestures just because they are gimmicky and I don't really need them.

Using SwiftKey as I type this on my OPO, and I can definitely can say this kernel has restored my faith in this phone. The phone even seems snappier to me. BTW I flashed the V3 kernel on stock CM12 5.0.2 in case anyone is wondering.

Yes actually I've read it before, and double tap to wake has been disabled since the beginning (and the other options of the screen to). But anyway I've noticed a little battery drain this last two weeks.

On the other hand I've been experiencing a video camera issue. A line of pixels appears sometimes when video recording.

I'll try to cut a little bit of one video with this issue and I'll upload it.

Edit: One more bug, Google play services has stopped.

Have you disabled Wake up, Keep awake or Auto start for the google play services? This can cause your error.

If not you can try to go to settings-apps-all and delete the data from everything starting with google play

Hello @bauner and many thanks for your hard work!
I have a noob question (sorry in advance): are there any chances your v4 will be part of the next OTA from Cyanogen (or OPO dunno how it works)?

The touchscreen fix in this kernel is from cyanogenmod and I'm sure that it will be included in one of the next ota.
The hardboot support will not come in official versions
