    harjm, Jul 10, 2019 :
Hi I have only had it for about a month and already my back glass cover has cracked it has been in a case from day one and it has not dropped on the floor. It kept in my pocket all day with a case on and o have not got it with anything to make it crack.

the crack seems to have started from near the power button which I can not explain how

can it really crack just sitting in your pocket as there is no other way it could have cracked, I have looked after it from day one and made sure it is always in a case which is why is is really frustrating that is has already cracked.

has anyone else had a similar problem which the back glass breaking so easily.

The answer is yes, you shouldn't keep your phone in your pocket and sit on it.

Well, if you never dropped the only explanation is that you bended while you have it in your pocket

It is really disappointing if this is all it takes for the back panel to crack it should be a lot stronger for the price of the phone. I have no other problem with the phone is it great really smooth and fast even my previous 3t was great

Glass is glass. If you sit on it or you apply too much force while is in your pocket it will brake.
Maybe you should take more care of your device...

not denying the fact that too much pressure will break the glass but I have not applied any pressure that should have cracked it and as I said before I did not sit on it.

Also saying I should take more care of it. How much more can I do to stop it cracking it has been in a case from day one and has a screen protector and I have never dropped it or put any pressure on it.

I do not see what else I could have possibly done apart from basically not using the phone at all

Yeah, Glass ain't a premium material. You should always protect you beautifully designed device with a ugly case, yet aggain there were a early bunch of 6T that had somekind of issue and apparently just cracked, hope is not the case (pun intended) with the 7Pro even if it seems riddled with issues, anyways don't sweat, I've broken quite a bunch of them glass backs, the replacement is actually cheaper than a case... So contact Suport, they will tell you what to do (it differs by region, but in the E.U it usually is resolved in 4 days including shipping to and from the service in Czech Republic)

I've broken one in the front pocket of some very skinny jeans, in which the device was jammed in alongside my trusty Zippo lighter

Whatever you prefer... They actually work (but yes offer diferent levels of protection)... I usually go for the OP classic "Sandstone", less protective but quite elegant, yours might be the red silicone one, if you can stomach the flamboyance of such a intense colour, it's actually the most protective, yet the most bulky on a already big and bulky device... If none appeal, or care only about some protection and not the looks use the TPU case provided in the box (the ugliest)
Same goes for the protective front 3d glass, it added some weight, but actually works as advertised, I've already broken a few, they shattered, but the display itself didn't have any scratches

the cases for the one plus are awesome and very unrestricting. just get a case and try to forget about it. who cares about the back

Few scratches, but nothing that ruined it's integrity, I mean that is what they are for, it beats the purpose to have a always brand new case... scars/scratches/dents etc are expected for a case over time, they take the damage so your device won't...

This looks severe enough to necessitate a repair, I doubt it would remain in one piece even with a case on, on future accidents, expecialy aryond the button area since that seems more affected, some shards might get lose, but nevertheless you are right I used a device for half a year with a case over a cracked back, but it only had a side to side hair like crack, basically splitting it in two

That crack looks painful just by looking at it.
May I know which Spigen case model that you were using when this happened?
I ordered one about two weeks ago in hopes that it would protect my device but if this happened, I think it defeats my primary purpose of buying the Spigen case.
    Might return it.
