I know were your coming from but if you don't protect it you can't expect much else.

Buy a rhino shield, watch this video made by a mate of mine and watch it till the end.

The screen is still the same crack fearing one.
If they are claiming the phone to be future proof then it should at least have NFC.
The capacitive buttons take up space aswell. The phone could be a lot smaller and therefore more usable. Also the onscreen buttons get hidden when they need to (If said app's developer has thought about it).
I disagree. The back is also a very logical place, because your hand grips the phone from the back.

If it bothers you that much but a genuine OPO flip case, they are brilliant and add next to do bulk at all.

+1 on the tempered glass screen protector. They work so well, it's almost a no brainer to buy one.

agreed...BIG fan of those things, especially when my One fell and hit the side of a concrete planter. The tempered glass screen protector bit the dust, but the One's screen was still perfect.

I used to use a tempered glass screen protector, but then my bag fell over with my opo inside it. When i took it out i saw that tempered glass protector was okay, but the opo had a minor crack what meant that i had to replace the screen. Then i used my second tempered glass screen protector and my phone fell from my school table. This time the screen protector absorbed some of the impact and shattered, but yet again my opo had a minor crack and i had to replace the screen. Now i am using a rhinoshield what is more like gel and should absorb and distribute the energy more evenly. (Haven't dropped my phone though)

phoe having capacitive buttons is good more like a dealmaker rather than a dealbreaker

I read somewhere that OP was adding screen protectors as part of the package when you buy the phone? If this is true then, I will be really happy. Atleast this can serve as a first point of protection. But they should still look at separating the screen from the digitizer! As this will prevent the case whereby your phone is useless when its screen is cracked. I have seen other phones, including iphone and samsung, with serious cracks yet the phone still works. Do something OP!!

I choose no NFC support but I don't think its even a deal breaker all of the other choices were positives...

These arent even drawbacks. The screen has seriously improved with better color, contrast and light.
NFC is not used by the general public.
A fingerprint scanner should always be visible from the front for easy and fast access.

The screen is not the same as the OPO, is better.
Capacitive buttons are great, they make you have more screen space.
The logic place to have the fingerprint sensor is… on the front.

So, from the list, I picked NFC. The increase in the final price would be negligible.

I'm into year 3 with my Galaxy S3 with no case or screen protector. I work in a heavy duty truck shop with it in my chest pocket of my coveralls. Gorilla glass is awesome. I personally wouldn't worry about many screen if I were to get an invite in my lifetime. I'm thinking this is my new phone!
