    After many years of owning a phone I have never cracked a screen. I also utilize phone cases religiously. I went from an iPhone XS to a OnePlus7 Pro and I automatically fell in love with my new phone. I've had screen protectors on every single phone for the past years. Unfortunately due to the curve and finger print sensor on my OnePlus7 Pro, as most of you all know, there isn't a screen protector that works properly with the OnePlus7 Pro. So, I had to use my phone without a screen protector. Then yesterday, I had my phone in my jacket pocket. I was putting my tire back on my vehicle. I reached down under my vehicle because a Lug Nut had rolled under it, that's when my phone slid out of my jacket pocket. It fell perfectly on the screen curve of my phone then flat on its face, my heart sank. I picked it up, looked at the screen, and saw three cracks running across it. They're not really visible unless you hold the phone at an angle. The phone wasn't even a foot above the ground, but that was just enough to crack the screen. Now my beautiful phone has an ugly black eye. [e]1f61e[/e]

    I do have screen protection insurance on it. However, I paid only $425 for the phone and they want $200 to replace it. I'm not gonna pay half just to get a refurbished one.

    I put it in this forum in the hopes that OnePlus would realize the importance of having screen protectors that work with Fingerprint ID.

    Perhaps you haven't searched well enough, or maybe they're not available in your locale, I don't know, but I saw quite a few options when looking for screen protectors, and the one I chose to buy works well in both ways, protecting the screen, and using fingerprint ID. I've dropped my phone quite a number of times, even a few times in just the same way you described, but I can rest easy coz the screen protector has taken all the hits, and even though it's a little cracked up now, it successfully protected the phone display completely. And I have 2 extra whenever I should choose to redo it. I got the set of 3 for just RMB145 (about USD$20-21). Point is, there are some good ones out there, just gotta find them.

    On the other hand, this is my first phone with the curved screen experience, and I don't think I'll ever get another curved screen device… the costs outweigh the benefits for me haha… *random guy in the back shouts out* "what benefits??" I don't know, guy in the back… I don't really know…

    I too found a few that said the fingerprint scanner works when in use and it didn't. Thank you for the write-up.

    Why aren't you able to find a screen protector? They are all over the place. The one I'm using now is an IQ Shield I got from Amazon. IT comes 2 in a box. I got it. Installed it. But had a tiny bubble so I removed it and installed #2. Works perfectly with my Rhino Crashguard case. They also sent me two more for free since the first install got mucked up. So, in back, I have a D-brand Skin. IN front I have the IQ Shield. And for a frame, I have the Crashguard. Total protection.

    The IQ shield is somewhat soft, which I like. it's not glass. But the finger print works great. My only concern is, if you take a sharp object to it (key, knife, rock), it'll gouge the layer. Otherwise, I'd give this product a thumbs up

    It's not that I cannot find a screen protector. it's that there isn't a screen protector that works properly with the OnePlus Fingerprint ID feature on my OnePlus7 Pro.

    So what am I NOT getting here? I just stated above that I got the IQ Shield and it works flawlessly. That means finger print ID feature. I have zero problems. It has logged in every time. My only issue, is it's somewhat soft. Last week, I scratched the front. It seems to have healed itself. The scratches are gone now. Is it 100% crystal clear like invisible glass clear? No. But it'll work to protect the screen.

    FYI..this is my 2nd set. My first one was curved glass. It had a thin rubber ring around the whole protector. I managed to install my Crashguard over it. But it was a finger print magnet. Then a week later, it peeled off. So I removed it.

    That one worked with the fingerprint ID as well.

    I know this is an old thread, but posting here in case others also find it.

    I too have had several previous phones, all iPhones. I always use a good case and a screen protector. Although I've dropped all my phones from time to time, I never had a single screen crack in 15 years. Until I got the OP 7T. I dropped it from about three feet onto my wood floor and it landed face down. I had a silicone case and a glass screen protector on it, but the screen cracked anyway. $200 repair. Then I got a Spiegel Rugged Armor case and a new glass screen protector to make sure the phone was well protected. Today I dropped it again onto my wood floor and again it landed completely flat on the face. Screen is cracked again. There is something wrong with the OP 7T design that is causing the screen to break so easily from flat impact in a case.

    Welp I hate how easily the screen gets damaged I have a poetic 360° case on my phone I accidently dropped it face down onto the road and even with the guards keeping it a inch away from the screen it still has 2 small hairline cracks ... Sigh.. welp here's to my 3rd replacement damnit 2020 you're killing me
