Crappy OS is what's killing this beautiful phone.

Where was I ever mentioning iOS? Are you ******* kidding me? iOS is dogshit too. Android is a very well built open platform. I have been running android devices for many years and develop professionally for android. I love the platform and tend to use nexus devices. There was massive appeal to the OPO for numerious different selling points. However after owning it for sometime I can tell you that the software (not the phone/hardware) is just straight shit. To be VERY SPECIFIC its CM'S IMPLEMENTATION OF ANDROID that is SHIT!. NOT ANDROID. They just have very bad QA I can tell you of all the companies I have worked for large and small if I produced software that was this low of quality, had this many bugs and was this unstable I would have been shit canned a long time ago. Not evaluated by google for 1 billion dollar evaluation. I think google is ******* high to assess CM for that. And shows you how well Steve's logic is to deny a 1 billion dollar acquisition when the company produces $0 in positive gain.

Looking at so many complains make me feel so fortunate. I am very happy since the day I bought it. I never had any major issue except once when I messed around with it. Since I upgraded to 38r, I have no issues at all. It's working smooth. I am glad that I bought it.

    +1.

People think the reboot issues are hardware related. It is all related to 38R. There were no reports of reboot issues, unless the user borked the firmware, before 38R was released.

Cheap not always mean that you can't trust the product. Google Nexus is the best example, cheap but still good enough to compete against Samsung and Apple. Did you take this up with the company?

People need to start reporting their phone's manufacturing date.

What you said isn't OS related, otherwise everybody would experience that kind of problems.

My OPO is rock solid, and when I say rock solid I mean that since I got it (it's a month now) I haven't had a single force close, crash, reboot, ghost swipe, or whatever other problem I read on the forums.

My battery lasts three days on medium usage with WiFi and Bluetooth constantly on.

It's not a matter of spending just €300, it's rather that there isn't anything more I could reasonably ask to a phone in any price range.

If cyanogenmod is as crappy as you say how's this possible?

Edit: my phone is and has always been completely stock: no root, no custom recovery, update to 38R installed via OTA, apps from previous android phone restored via adb backup / restore functionality.

My phone randomly restarts.... God don't know the issue and the cyanogen site asks me stupid questions to put an issue into there page! I should have listened to people to pick this phone but not cyanogen mod!

I'm new so please excuse the ignorance. From everything I've seen and heard about the OPO, it seems like there would be very little need to root it... I understan customer service seems to be slow but if there are hardware issues, why not just report them and return/replace the phone?
