Creative toning challenge: Are you the next Monet?

    1. Spiral Staircase: BEFORE

    Spiral Staircase: AFTER

I felt with this picture the focus had to be the centre of the spiral, it had to invite the viewer to look from outside in and the details getting sharper as your proceed inwards. So I used a fade effect on Snapseed initially. This helped me to get the darker shades to pop up. I vignetted the edges to get the image to focus towards the centre. Then I accentuated the lights near the stairs to give it a more mystical effect. To round it up, i adjusted the brightness and the mid tones to go with the rest of the image's mood.

    2. London Bridge: BEFORE

    London Bridge: AFTER

London reminds us of cold, chilly weather. Always a bit of rain as we can see from the spots. I wanted that to be the mood. A kind of bluesy-hued evening sky. I wanted the colors and structure to pop out from the bridge whilst also improving the details of the river below. So i did this with a mix of HDR scape, accentuating colors, a U1 filter from snapseed and some basic tonal adjustments. I feel compared to the original, this captures the mood better. Its popped out yet muted, the kind of subtlety that high London is known for.

These are after photos edited using Lightroom and Photoshop,by adding some contrast, lower the exposure, and giving some saturation to pump the color for the better visual and atlast oil paint filter cause I want it to be smooth and give some realistic view

So I tried toning then really quick using Adobe Lightroom Mobile .
Went with monochrome on this one (golden) to give a radiating effect .

Tokyo from the future .. a cool tron like dual tone effect on this one and a mirrored it cause why not 🤷🏻‍♂️
Went for a moody autumn look in this one and muted colours
Want to go with rustic look and bring out that Beautiful blue in this one

Went full out cyberpunk in this one 🤭

Hey @Fleming F. , this is a nice contest and yes, it would be awesome if creative toning became a contest series. Thank you for hosting! I have to admit that I am a bit confused about the rules of engagement for this topic, still I decided to stay within the title's threshold.

So here are just some simple Color Grading's done in Lightroom mobile and compressed with YaImCo by @hennes
Note: Many images weren't uploading or were getting broken, so I uploaded on an image hosting website and BBC'd thumbnails.

When I saw this post on OnePlus community, I knew this was for me... I knew that I would take on this challenge as a fun experience and just give these edits a go... Honestly, it was quite amazing and I really focused on improving each image without making any major changes.

Each of these photos were created through the mixture of Snapseed and Lightroom Editing Tools

As with each of these photos, this photo had an unprecedented amount of detail, requiring myself to preserve this focus on detail and make the image look overall more presentable. Once again, my focus for each of these images were to simply 'improve' on the image, preserving the focus of each image and refining the picture quality. I gave this image a redefined tone, shifting from the original unpleasant glow which the image had... This glow created a sense of haze, which I have removed and replaced with this unique theme which satisfies the theme of the image.
This image was a tricky one, but my aim was to make this image look like an absolute masterpiece on AMOLED screens... In order to do this, the glow within the blacks had to be removed, made pitch black to contrast with the order colours and really POP on screens such as the new OnePlus phones... I eliminated all glow and made these highlights of the image brighten reforming this image into an absolute masterpiece [e]1f60d[/e]

This had potential... And the cracks on the stairs and walls were my main inspiration for this image. I aimed to create a musty theme on this image, unveiling these cracks and the whole perspective of the never-ending stairway... The darkened edges on this image were an addition towards this perspective, allowing for this theme to be more intensely expressed

This image didn't actually require much editing, however I did realise that the colour scheme of the image required some correction, however my intentions for this image were purely to make this image look realistic and make the subject stand out against the bright skies...

Ooooh, this image was amazing... The details in this image were next-level and my intentions were very similar to the other night time image. Once again, I aimed for an AMOLED worthy image, able to show off the beautiful AMOLED screens on the latest smartphones and other devices... The glow was once again a major issue, with the removal of this glow adding cleaning up the overall image and improving the presentation of the overall image. The vibrance of this image was already surprisingly high, hence the maintained vibrance within my editing. The skies were created to be pitch black in this image, while enhancing and preserving the details within the city... The image also featured other enhancements to focus the perspective of this image into the city itself and the highlights of this masterpiece of a photo...

For the spiral, I decided to give a dual vibrant colour vibes, some blur and accent of the way into the core of the spiral. Edited with Snapseed.

For the city, I gave a true black sky, I added some saturation of the lights, some bright and finally I added a kind of a fog in the left side to contrast with the lights of the right. Edited in snapseed.

Finally for the London Bridge I decided to give a sepia and antique look, with some underexposition of the sides but a increase of bright in the center to focus solely on the bridge. Edited in Snapseed. 1

Hey ONE PLUS team, this editing contest is very interesting. I edit all pictures but I don't know how is my editing ? So I am going to share them with you all.

    1) CHINESE VILLAGE : I want to turn the clock back to when people lived in small villages and took care of each other.

    2) SPIRAL STAIRS: There is no elevator to success, you have to take the stairs.

    3) SHENZHEN : There is so much beauty when your eyes lay lost in all city lights.

    4) LONDON BRIGDE : The heaven and the hell without the angels is like the right and the wrong without the bridges.

    5) TOKYO TOWER AT NIGHT: Great towers take time to construct.

I hope you guys like my pictures.
    Editing in Lightroom and snapseed

    THANK YOU !!
