Lovely village scene, could have been taken, yesterday, yesteryear, 50 years ago, 100, 500, or even a thousand years ago.

We live in the same way, enjoy the same foods, care for the same family, and pets, have the same dreams, are fearful of the same things.

Change happens, but is it really that noticable in the grand scheme.

Kolka watchtower ......... Made out of watch components......or is it?

    Edited in snapseed

@Fleming F. , The bridge is called Tower Bridge, not London Bridge. London Bridge was built in the 1960s from flat dull concrete.

Used Adobe Lightroom Classic to edit these.

Had a Retro kind of theme in mind when I saw this village image. Also I wanted some moody tones.
Combined the two and got the result!
And for the spiral stairs, I had to remove the uneven lighting first to act upon. After that I added gold tones on the highlights but Bluer tones for the shadows, with a light in the end denoting the endless loop and thus the stairs acting as if it is constant, just like time!

P.S. Had to compress the images and thus they are not being inserted in as full images idk why.
    But they are opening nevertheless.

    Anyway, this was fun!
    Hoping for the best!!

    Never Settle! <3

Ok so I hope you guys don't have a limit to the size of the edited images. I used Snapseed to edit the pics. Anyways, let me begin:-

    1) Shenzhen

So when I saw this image, I saw colours. They captured my attention and drew me to their vibrance. So I thought why not make this image pop a little? I mean who doesn't love a bit of funky fun? I increased the brightness, saturation and structure of the image and added the grain effect to bring out the 'fun side' of the landscape. Hope it worked!

    2) London Bridge

I wanted to bring out the evening vibes (or early morning ones) which I felt when I saw this pic. So my focus was the bridge and the sky. I sharpened the image and stabilised it's structure and then I strengthened it's whole vibe with the help of HDR. I also cooled it down by toning down on the warmth and this is the final result!

    3) Spiral Stairs

For this picture kinda felt like irony. To me it gave a message that life is both warm and cold, happy and sad, easy and tough. The yellow depicts the warmth and the blue depicts the cold. I tried my best to give them both equal important to show that life is in equilibrium. I tweaked around the hues and structure, increased the brightness and took care of the highlights and the shadows.

    4) Chinese Village

For some reason this picture gave me a sense of tranquility. It felt innocent. So I looked into the greens aka the nature and tried to accentuate it. I sharpened the image, increased the brightness and played around a little with shadows and highlights. Then I added a light filter to pop out the greens. And that's pretty much it.

    5) Tokyo Tower at night.

For some reason this picture reminded me of my past. It gave me a feeling that the past can't be changed and so we must move forward. That's how I decided with the black and white theme. I sharpened the image and corrected the structure. Further I added the filter for the black and white effect. I also increased the shadows and tweaked the highlights to give it a feeling of gravity.

I hope that my edits did justice to these images. And if you like em, then like em[e]1f609[/e]. Thanks!

Creative toning challenge: Are you the next Monet?
This is a nice contest theme for sure... thx for the idea & challenge @Fleming F. :)
Claude Monet was a very creative Impressionist and sometimes also a little bit experimenting with the colors... so do I :D

Looking at the Paintings of Monet you need distance, than you can get the impression of the scenery... it's fantastic to see the "pictures developing" by stepping backwards... everyone who had the chance to see his famous pictures of water lilies will understand

With the eyes & impressions of C. Monet... close your eyes... not totally... and have a blinking look to get an impression

All postprocessing done with Snapseed, playing with curves, enhancing contrast, sometimes double exposure combination with the same picture changed before to negative b&w, sometimes double exposure a little bit offset to get an embossing effect :)... is it crazy creative... I think so :D... in the sense of C. Monet... may be ;)

And did you catch it? I ask because i want to know if i should also go hunting or if i'm too late. :)

It doesn't matter, it seems as if you are allowed to try as often as you want. Post a hundred versions and there will the right photos among them. :D

Tried to make these photos look natural and colorful. Used Ps X android app. Just retouching and tone calibration. Let me know your thoughts and like this comment too. Cheers
