My real question is, on such a small display 6 or 7 inches devices how display matter which was not matters in 6T now from 7 Pro it's becoming essential,
Still no one is talking about the cameras, they are still crap before having Oil painting effects, and please don't say use Google cam for cameras that I can use in POCO which is half of the price of OnePlus:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Display is the part of the device you look at the most. How is its quality not important?

There's plenty of information out there already.

I really hope OnePlus still make a screen protector for the 7 pro for my 6 only the official one is really any good even though it was expensive third party ones either didn't stick or covered loads of the screen.

Do you think the 7 Pro will come with a factory fitted protector like all the other OP devices? I know the screen is potentially curved but the S10 etc has a pre-applied factory protector at least, even if it doesn't go right to the edges...

Agree entirely. I was all set to move from OP6 to 7 pro but curved screen is a dealbreaker. Partner has an S9 with a curved screen and I think its terrible.

got a 7 pro on order but got concerns about the curve and battery life will be sending it back if the curve is annoying in any way and getting the normal 7.

My question is, just how prominent is the curve? I have a Galaxy S10 plus, and the curve doesn't bother me at all. But if it's as bad as say, the S7 Edge... I would be pretty disappointed.

Samsung has been curving its screens since the S6 Edge, so my guess is that they have been perfecting it for 4+ years, and the curves have been given gradual improvements over these years. My Note 9's curves aren't all that distracting either, though I still find almost all of the cases a bit less than satisfactory due to the fact that the lip on the cases don't seem to protect the side edges as much as it would have if the screen was flat instead.

Reviewers stated, about the Note 9, that it had a tiny bit wider bezel on the side with less display curves when compared to the S9 and Note 8 series phones. I can certainly agree with that, and accidental touches are far less common.

From reading quite a bit of sources, it seems that the curves on the 7 Pro is steeper than Samsung's implementation? I am not sure how distracting that may turn out, but from watching review videos, it seems to reflect a quite bit more.

Hopefully there will be enough choices for some good screen protectors and cases for this phone. With increased size, pop-up camera, and a curved display, it will definitely be much more fragile than the 6T/7.

Curved screen was the main reason for me to leave Samsung family. Distorted screen, multiple ghost touches, narrower keyboard, more fragile phone, more expensive screen replacement, discoloured white around edges, difficult to move progress bar while watching films etc.
Have you also noticed that 1+7 is not pretty anymore. It is soo tall--looks ugly. Just why? Now we have to find someone else who can just build normal phones.

It was worth. No one is forcing us to buy 1+ but we have been faithful to this brand since 1+1 so I think your reply is little bit selfish

Asus Zenfone 6 $499 (snapdragon 855 with 6gb ram). all screen FLAT edge, 5000 mAh battery, headphone jack, rotating dual camera system that does BOTH front and rear pictures without the waste of an additional worse-off front camera, that does auto panaramic photos. stock like Android UI (zen UI is dead)

the only questions that remain are update frequency, ips display quality, carrier support for Wi-Fi calling.

the camera won't be top 3

no wireless charging and no water IP rating but for $499 Asus has taken the crown away from oneplus as the new "flagship Challenger". oneplus was and will never be a flagship killer.

By buying every model released? By recommending 1+ to all friend and family and my company? I am IT and people respect my opinion even about the phone. Over 20 of them chosen 1+ instead of iphone...

NO-ONE IS FORCING YOU TO BUY A NEW PHONE !

If you don't like a curved screen, fine - don't buy it but don't create an unnecessary new thread either. Spare the rest of us from your moaning about Oneplus not matching YOUR personal preferences.
