    Op already posted that for M they will use the native API as well so that will have implementations for the drivers as well.

    Native API to allow apps that uses it access to the FP scanner under Oxygen OS, but custom ROMs will still need drivers in order to get the FP scanner to work.

    CM without bugs and complete customisation is the one thing that I was looking for In this phone. If CM is able to get all the hardware working (including fingerprint sensor and laser auto focus) then I would flash the rom without any second thoughts

    you can't move to AOSP, AOSP is not compilated code nor compatible with your device without adding code, meaning, you are NOT moving to AOSP.

    Are we sure? I keep reading that without device tree for OP2 and OPX (and OP doesn't seem about to release those), development is going to be tough, not to mention nihil. Not that I know what I'm talking about. Just reporting.
