Hey everyone! @JerseyPirates here with a little friendly camera competition between the OnePlus 7T and my friend’s Samsung Galaxy S10e. But, before we get started, here's the specs: The 7T sports a 16 megapixel front camera and three rear facing cameras (a 48MP main, 16MP ultra wide angle, and 12MP telephoto lens) while the S10e has a 10MP front, 12MP wide angle, and 16MP ultra wide angle. Both phones have a pro mode that allows you to adjust various settings but, if you’re like me and have a gallery full of animals and action shots, you want to be able to quickly capture the memory and move on to the next. For that reason, our friendly daily driver competition will focus on some of the preset modes so let’s get started!

    Photo
As expected, both the 7T and S10e deliver crisp images at this battlefield park during daylight hours but what about less than optimal situations?

    Portrait
Portrait mode on the OnePlus switches to the telephoto lens to create depth while giving you two focal length settings to choose from. Switching between them is simple and, as seen in the next two photos taken from the same distance, the default allows you to quickly capture a closer shot which is important when working with an active puppy.

    Ultra Wide Angle
While the S10e’s 123° offers a slightly bigger field of view against the 117° of the 7T, it’s the colors that show the biggest difference in the following landscape scene. The Galaxy produces a vivid photo while the OnePlus offers a more subtle color variation.

    Macro
Macro is a new mode in the OnePlus family that allows you to take detailed shots from as little as 2.5cm with amazing clarity and detail. To test this, we headed to a park to get up close and personal with nature. Both cameras performed very well with static objects but, as with any point and click feature, it can sometimes be difficult to focus on small moving objects before they fly away. The detail on my sweatshirt looks pretty nice though, doesn’t it?

This one didn't stick around long enough to refocus the 7T. Safe travels ladybug!

    Nightscape
Sometimes it’s best to settle down and relax at night with a nice scenic view and, for me, Nightscape is where the OnePlus really shines. The slower shutter speed and increase in ISO allows for bright and clear photos in low light. It’s available to both the main and ultra wide angle cameras allowing you to also capture those adorable sleeping baby (or fur-baby) photos.

    Zoom
And finally, for the zoom photos, it seems a little unfair to compare them since the since the 7T has a 2x optical zoom and the S10e is limited to digital but, let’s check it out at anyway. At 5x zoom...yeah, that’s what we expected.

In conclusion, the not-so-scientific results from our friendly competition show that both daily drivers have a great camera but, for me, the 7T offers so much more than that. Life moves fast so we need a phone that can keep up.

Hi, I had a S10E before getting my OnePlus Beast 7T. My only concern before changing phones was the camera thing. I saw a lot of reviews and after that decided to make the change. This is the best phone I've ever had and I have had iPhones, Galaxy and Notes. The camera on my OnePlus has nothing to envy those other phones and in adittions I have the best software, best refresh rate and latest operating system. I definitely have the best phone in the world at almost half the price of the others.

low light captures from back and front camera, night mode captures are not as expected..it is giving blurry effect on zooming the pics which was captured on normal HDR mode.. it got exposed during my Diwali night captures in my house.. hope it will be improved in coming update soon.. else feels money wasted..

currently I am using iphone 11 pro max and op 7tpro ( as a secondary device) i luv OnePlus 7t pro smoothness but but but apart frm higher refresh rate my iphone is way better than my op 7t pro. You can't compare iPhone 11 pro max camera , screen, stereo speakers , performance and ofcourse ip certification and wireless charging [e]1f602[/e][e]1f602[/e][e]1f602[/e] etc to op 7t pro. iphone 11 pro max is on another level

of course you can't. even more when that one doubles the price of the 7T ,[e]1f602[/e][e]1f602[/e][e]1f602[/e][e]1f602[/e]. if paying $500 more it's worth it, enjoy [e]1f601[/e]

Rocking a GCam on my OP6, takes great photos, not as amazing as those $1k phones but it gets the job done well. The battery on OnePlus phones definitely needs to be improved tho, I can say that. The battery life is good, but not great either. Maybe up it to 4500mAh or something, 5000 would be amazing tho
