Dark mode inconsistency

I'm running OOS 3.0, and I have dark mode enabled.

As you all probably know, the dark theme in the settings is rather gray, not dark. I've always disliked this, but I thought it was a limitation of the LCD display on the OPT, unlike the AMOLED display on the OPX, but today, I accidentally opened a menu called Cell Broadcast Settings in settings (can be opened by searching for 'Turn on notifications' in settings), and the background for that window is pitch black.

I don't know if this menu even exists in OOS 2.2.1, so I request the members running OOS 3.0 to open the menu and check if it's the same for you.

P.S. I don't know what the point of this thread is lol, but I'm wondering why OnePlus didn't use the pitch-black for all the menus in settings.

    IKR!
I was using my friend's OPX a week ago, and I loved the deep blacks. Today, after reinstalling OOS 3.0, I was trying to play around with the notification settings and I searched for notifications and accidentally clicked on that option and BOOM, pitch-black appeared.

I wish there was a way we'd tell this to a OnePlus employee who could do something about it. I thought of tweeting to Carl but I don't know how to explain this in 140 characters lol.

"Make dark mode pitch-black. Grey looks awful." Does that fit?
    Edit: #WeWantBlack :D

Hahahahahaha that'd work. I thought I'd explain where I encountered a pitch-black menu in settings, but meh. He's the co-founder, he's probably already seen it. :p
Tweeting your exact words to him right away. :D

Edit: I've never seen Carl actually respond to being tagged, but hey, miracles can happen, so here goes: @Carl

Dark is not always a black. I prefer it in this way.
And Pitchblack is outdated. It has animations from kitkat.

I prefer the dark grey too, pure black looks bad, only makes sense on phones with amoled.
