Searched the forum before I dared to ask this, but maybe I overlooked a previous topic.

The Dash Car charger is out of stock, can I use the "old" charger of my OP2?

You won't get dash charging without a dash charger and matching cable, it's as simple as that. If you use another charger the phone will charge but slowly, to be honest it probably won't run down too much if you're using it for GPS in the car but it's not going to charge very quickly.

Any charger with 2100mAh/5V will work. Instead of a "dash" charge, you'll get a 'regular' charge (1H30 ~ 2H00)

Dude... I don't think dash charging items would be of any use with an op2. Search for a regular one cheaper and supported by your phone

if you already have good car charger, I think you do not need to spend money for this... but if you have no car charge you can buy... IMHO

Sorry, misread ("car charger FOR op2" instead of "cc OF op2")
So... it's like others said, will charge your op3t but slower than the dash. You just need a type-c cable.

For me personally: I don't really need the car dash charger. I'll make sure the phone is charged before taking it on travels and if I need any extra juice (for example when using it's navigation) plugging it in a normal charger is enough to keep it on 100%.

I can only see a use for this if you by accident forgot to charge your phone and you only have a 30 minute drive ahead of you with no other charging possibilities.

You can, but it obviously won't have the same speeds as dash charging.

It's your call. You have to think if you do short or long trips in car. I only have a dash charger at home. In my car I use the same that I was using with OP2. It's not that fast but it charges
