Dash Charger with only single input voltage

  1. Greywolf Eclair Jul 28, 2017

    Greywolf, Jul 28, 2017 :
Indian users get a Dash Charger that only supports 220v. This is not as per specifications listed on the website so I decided to raise Case 1150026.
Have uploaded photographs and the spec sheet to show the obvious faux pas.

OnePlus decides to respond by changing those specifications.
For those who think otherwise , you charger only supports a single voltage.

Raise an issue because it seems I'm the only one fighting this.

I think OP's point is that pretty much every other charger (including my OnePlus One and OnePlus two chargers) are rated 100-300V, so why not these? OnePlus had said rated them 150-300V online, but once the chargers were released, they changed the specs on the website

Ok..but any way it's single phase is it?.

Everyone knows how much is single phase voltage..op is dumb it's provided incorrect voltage.

    G_Anarv__Mathur__NMTo, Jul 28, 2017 :
Yeah. It only supports 200-240V. That's quite annoying when you're traveling because you can't use the same plug anywhere else

  6. Greywolf Eclair Jul 28, 2017

    Greywolf, Jul 28, 2017 :

I will take the time to explain -

    1. The charger does not support 110v. This is not only inconvenient but also not as per what was originally specified. If you don't travel you won't know.
All other chargers support 110 to 240v.

    2. There is a very big difference between single phase and single voltage.

    Guess who's dumb now?

    1. Ok...i don't travel that much but that doesn't change the fact?.(tell me which places you are charging your mobile which having less than 150v)

2.kindly educate what's the difference between them...i want to hear what you wanna say about it.

US, China, Japan are a few countries to name a few use 110V.

All other makers provide dual voltage chargers.

The oneplus chargers supplied worldwide are also designed for dual voltage except for India.

150-300? that's the same than saying only 220 V. It'd be interesting if Voltage was also under 125V because there are countries that have that voltage and different Hz but 150-300 V, I think that the rest of the world is 220 V.

Correct! it is the most dumbest decision by OnePlus. Some frequent traveller switching from an iPhone or Samsung would never know and would be unknowingly greeted by a electric blast on his overseas travel

    There is only one solution->
Buy 100-240 volt charger from China or from the place where you visit.
Using this 220 V charger will surely make your phone Note7.

Customer support is so misinformed. I cannot believe they are getting away with this. They refuse to give me the correct charger.

I also raised a query for this, but technical support team doesn't provided me a proper answer for this.

Someone let me know how to move this forward. I am a frequent traveller and I recently came to know about this fact that my indian variant dash charger doesn't support input voltages less than 200v.

Did you received any update from the support team regarding this charger incompatibility ?

I too raised a support ticket for the same.

Let me know how to proceed with this.

This the reply I received from OnePlus Support team for my concern raised for the Input voltage regulation of DASH charger sold in India.

    Hitarth (OnePlus)

    Oct 24, 22:54 CST

Thank you for sending an email to OnePlus support. My Name is Hitarth and I will be assisting you today.

I do understand your concern. However, I would like to inform you that, as per the replacement policy, the replacement will be available within 10 days from the date of delivery. Where replacement is executed if there is any defect in the product and will replace the product with the same product. Besides, the concern is to be raised within 10 days from the date of delivery.

As the charger supplied in India is not feasible to supply less than 200 voltage, I would suggest you, to purchase a connector or voltage converter adapter which would help you to get the device charged with required power. You may purchase the same through any third party site which is highly rated. A well rated universal travel adapter will be a good choice. Or if you consider purchasing the charger for that particular country, then for your convenience below is the link to the global store.

I will certainly consider this as a feedback from you and would forward your complications to the concerned team, avoiding disappointments for the other customers going forward. Thank you immensely for sharing this.

If you need further help, you can always reply to this email within 48-72 hours before we consider the issue to be resolved. However, the ticket will remain open for the next 10 days before it gets auto-closed.
