Has anyone ever heard of or used Meenova's Dash Micro USB OTG adapter? Looks like a great pocket able device.

I want to use it with my 64GB microSD, from my previous phone. Unfortunately, don't know if it would be compatible with the one. Oppo phones are listed as compatible bu the One isn't on there.

Looks nice. Although I love my Sandisk duo, which while not looking quite so nice, has the bonus of having a full size usb connection.

I have their original at home and keep intending to try it out. I'll give it a shot tonight and let you know ASAP if it works. If that one works, this should.

Note: I'm not rooted. I don't intend to root until the next update when I plan to wipe my phone anyway; I will be testing this with a $4 app that I purchased for my Nexus 5.

So in order for it to work, you need to be rooted and the rom must support it?

Cause if that's the case, I'm golden. Rooted within the first 5 minutes of receiving mine.

In general, you need to be rooted, using special software, or have a device which has support for it built-in. Stock Android does not have that, I believe.

Just tested my last gen. Fully compatible without root or special software. I would confidently expect the same of the micro.

It's just USB OTG. It's compatible. There's not much wiggle room in the USB standard. I don't know why companies list device compatibility for standard USB devices. I guess those are the devices they officially tested it with. But it should work with any USB compliant device... If it doesn't work for some bizarre reason, they just have the right to say, "that device isn't on our compatibility list."
