Since Cyanogenmod is treating you badly, why not just give the user the official Android ROM and maybe some added apps of your own?

Just like how Motorola Mobility do now with their Moto E, G, X, & Droid Turbo. Pure stock Android experience with a handful of useful apps.

With the current One's hardware specification, it would be blazingly fast & snappy!

I happen to love CyanogenMod, but your idea / suggestion is excellent.

It didnt start with CM treating OnePlus badly. OnePlus was always in plans to develop its own OS which prompted CM to go ahead and make partnerships with other guys. Neither of them are angels or are devils. They are just companies trying to make profit. And as you know, software has more profits than hardware.

Isn't that exactly what they are planning to do already?

Cyanogen signed a contract with another company in India behind Oneplus back. This contract prevents Cyanogen to deliver software to other companies, such as Oneplus. Just in India though! Dirty as hell.

    At least that's my understanding.

Please search before creating new threads.

They already said that they are going to do what you asked:

    https://oneplus.net/blog/2014/11/a-letter-to-our-indian-users/

Community build will be released later this month and the stable release is expected by February. Everyone that wants to change can install it.

Cyanogen also stated that global phones will get updates and 2yr support so everyone can choose what to do.

    Closing thread.
