That's a bit of a big measurement, isn't it? From what I understand he didn't brick his phone. Maybe just a manual update would do the trick. (however I would first reset the phone, just to be sure)

Said he wanted to go back to latest OS from rooting a phone. Easiest way to do that is to use the Unbrick method, it's not just for unbricking. When you root and unroot involves u locking the Bootloader which wipes the phone, he sounds apparently stuck on latest update, which he hasn't specified what that is, so using this method is the simplest way to fix it back to normal. No idea if he tried a custom Rom or not.. And he mentions being on 5.5.1, which is not even an OOS update unless its mistyped.

Had to pick through the post a bit as some of the context was out of sync, so went for the simplest solution to get back to square one. There is a more elaborate way. But you know what I mean when I say keep it simple or as simple as possible [e]1f44d[/e]

When installing manually the Changelog never appears. Only for OTA updates. But you van check the relevant thread for the OOS version installed on the phone, in the Community Forum to see what the changelog would be

Go to your nearest service center and have them flash it.
