I just said what my opinion on 120 Hz display was. I wasn't whining since I don't even use the 90 Hz option on my current device.

Then explain pls what is the exact problem regarding 120hz. If they release op 8 pro with 90hz display, everyone will start complaining because of no innovations. On top of that high refresh rate is a new trend on the market. If sb cares about battery life, these people will use 60/90 hz and full hd resolution, however some additional hardware features won't hurt for people who buy devices to use them and not to save battery power.

Op 8 pro will anyway cost more than 7t pro, so let this price be justified with some new technologies and not just the Snapdragon 865 and imx 686 camera sensor.

Lmao the problems is what I stated in the first comment and those problems only pertain to me. I don't speak for everyone. I just think it's Overkill.

Sure, a 120Hz display will be nice, even though I am not sure if one will be able to see a difference between a 90Hz display and a 120 Hz display (the difference will be clearly visible between 60Hz and 120 Hz though).

Personally I think there are more pressing matters to be addressed in the next 1+ Flagship, like a permanent AoD, wireless charging or further camera improvements.

So yeah, a 120Hz display is a nice thing to have, but the already available 90Hz displays are doing great and therefore it would be nicer to get features that are not available at all till now and which shouldn't be missing in a flagship device.

Let's hope that with this 120Hz refresh rate they provide a force 120Hz toggle as the current 90Hz toggle is only automatic and the screen is set to 90Hz only on OnePlus apps and services and a few games while rest of the screen i.e. most 3rd party apps and games are still at 60Hz.

P.S. - Excited for the new display tech 😎

Nice to "brag" about a JNCD of <1, but that statement is also less useful when they don't fix this issue:

There you are...having a phone with a color accurate screen, but with a terrible green glow in grey areas when using in the dark mode and 20-50% brightness...Too bad this will never see the light of day, because all the tech (youtube) reviewers receive pristine samples...
Sorry for my skepticism, but for me, it's just words yet...

I do believe that 120Hz will be better than 90Hz for me personally, because I just can't see the difference between 60 and 90Hz although I thoroughly tested it. When upping to a 144Hz gaming monitor from a 60Hz monitor, I did see a major difference.

I think 120hz is scary as it kills battery early.

120 Hz screen refresh rate +
    1440p screen +
240 Hz touch refresh rate = Great for Media Consumption and Gaming.
Hoping OnePlus helps App Developers to utilize 120 Hz display fully ;)

    I can't stress this enough.

    Yes, 120Hz is wonderful.

But give us a larger battery along with it.
