Dude I am also using OnePlus 7T and must say to you that I just loved the performance OnePlus 8 is not providing processor of 855+ it only have 865 soc which is again a downgrade point. So nothing about to worry OnePlus 7T have win the battle.

Have you ever heard or seen where a next gen Snapdragon is worse than the previous one?

Currently the Antutu ranking is beeing dominated by the 865...

I do understand that the SoC is not the only thing that matters in term of the overall Phone speed and responsivness, but I won't agree with you that 865 is a downgrade.

Also the 865 comes with an integrated 5G modem which wasn't available in previous models.

Based on the specs that @Pete mentioned i'm sure the new OnePlus 8 will be a performance beast.

What i had in mind is the opportunity to compare this beast with my 7T Pro via The LAB event. :)

They are the most responsive company in terms of Android updates, so they slate OS updates regularly for up to 3 years after purchase (the norm is 2 years). For reference, Samsung will provide 2 years of updates and they are usually delayed. OnePlus can do this because they mainly keep a clean OS and they have team of engineers dedicated for this purpose only. My opinion only - you won't find another company which provides Android OS updates as regularly as these guys do.

Or guarantees them for as long either. I switched to the 7T from a Samsung Galaxy S10+ and I like this phone a lot more!
