I guess you are wrong, carrier support is added by Oneplus through firmware updates. There are carriers which do not limit access but still the producer has to update the model mbn files. They (oneplus) cannot even tell me which carriers they support. I asked and it took them half an hour to say: As of now the T-Mobiles and Tele2 is only enabled for the facility of VoWifi, as of now we have not been provided with the fuirther information on which all carriers are supported with the facility of VoWiFi for the OnePlus 8 pro.

Let's take an example. If the carrier does not care about VoWIFI and don't want to support it you will never get it. Oneplus does not deside what the carrier should support on their devices. Oneplus is the one that adds it, true, but only after the carriers have given them a configuration and wants them to. There are some ways to get around this... But real official support involves both your carrier and Oneplus.

Yes they do decide. The configurations are not secret and gsm association already has a configuration database. For 1000 Euros, they should have more already. You need to read more about this, definetly.

I mean, when you pay 1000 euros, you'd expect those functionalities. Period. Blaming the network is not the way to escape that. We're in 2020 when volte is a must and they ask for 1000 euros without that? Really?

So why did one of the carriers choose not to support Oneplus until very recently (near 8 launch)... Last time I heard some insider info from that carrier was that they didn't want and didn't plan to support 7 Pro... But now when 8 series came they changed their minds... So what you are saying is that the carriers have no option other than to obey Oneplus? You don't think 2 parties need to agree? I've ready plenty of situations where the carrier asked the customer to contact Oneplus and Oneplus then forwarded them back to the carrier saying they should do something about it... So who is right? Why do my carrier have a list of supported VoLTE only devices and VoLTE/VoWiFi devices if the phone brands can do whatever they like? Why do some get VoLTE working after having contacted their carrier? Why isn't it just as simple as to enabling VoLTE/VoWiFi toggles with some hacks (worked for some but not all, and some still needed to contact the carrier)? At work we had to contact the carrier due VoWiFi had been enabled for all the phone numbers.. The end result was that some functions broke on unsupported devices. We contacted them and they disabled VoWiFi for that number we had a problem. Then call forwarding and such worked again. The phone itself supported VoWiFi but not with that carrier... Even the even older phone that didn't support VoWiFi had issues due to VoWiFi was active on their end... So is it really that simple?

I get what you mean... But the project you linked to. It does not mean everybody have joined. And just because they have joined there are no rules or limitations? I could not find Oneplus as a member...

Regarding speed in general and the quality of screen it's simply astounding ! I really love it but there is an annoying caveat ... : network speed on 4G !

My wife has her trusty One Plus 7 pro , it's more than ten times faster than mine (115mb/s vs 11,5mb/s) on French 4G provider Bouygues Télécom (which is really excellent speed wise)
Lasted update on both ( 10.5.5 on One Plus 8 pro )
Very curious behavior because DBm seems to be pretty good ...

One plus support please help !

Found the issue , bandwidth is normal when I untick VOWIFI

Seen benchmarks that showed UFS 3.0 with the extra additional techniques was faster than standard UFS 3.1

A TRUE flagship should deliver top of the line camera output since OnePlus is always left behind in camera department.lets see OnePlus 8 got enough strength to hold against Samsung, apple ,and pixel..

Don't post personal info here. We are regular users and not Oneplus staff. Stuff like this should be taken directly with support and not here in a Community with normal users.
